CASTELLI Men's Squadra Stretch Jacket, Windproof Zip Up Shell for Road Cycling

Had to go up two sizes from my normal, non-castelli sizing. These are Euro sizes, so this L is American M. I'm an American M, so I ordered this in L, but it was too small. For reference, I'm 5'10" 160lb. Return was very easy, and the XL that I eventually got is perfect. Easily goes over a long sleeve jersey now. Note this is more of a "race cut" than a "club cut" so it's pretty narrow through the abdomen. It's very thin and packs down easily into a jersey pocket. Once you get the sizing right, it's the perfect shell for those windy or chance-of-sprinkles rides.

It is sized really tight, size up on ear two sizes. It's not stretchy at all, it is very lightweight and can be a mild weather barrier but not really for warmth. The material is kinda plasticky but seems well made. It was reasonably priced although we got in on sale.

Bought this for my husband who is an avid bike rider both on trails and on the road. I did take a measuring tape and measured his arm length, chest, and waist in cm and went to the Castelli website to check their size chart. He says this windbreaker is great when riding in cooler temps and it folds nicely and small enough into his back jersey pocket when it gets warmer without adding weight/bulk. The sizing is a European fit. He's very slender (5'10" roughly 135lbs.) The small did fit, but he felt the elastic around the waist didn't have much stretch. We exchanged it for a medium which he felt fit the same as the small around the chest but the elastic around the waist had more stretch and the arms were slightly loose, but says it not as noticeable nor does it impact his riding. Overall it does keep the wind out.

I really liked the look and build of this jacket. It's light, has nice stretchy material on the sides and comes in high-viz colors. However, the chart is not accurate to the actual size. I am 5'9" and have a 41" chest. I was supposed to get an XL (which I did), and I looked like a stuffed sausage. I got it zipped up, but it was so tight I could barely breathe. I had to return it. I'm not even sure if a 2xl would fit. If I purchase it again (I really do like the jacket), I will likely get the 3XL because I may have a base layer or thermal bibs underneath.

Great super simple and light jacket, great for 5-15C weather (depends on your base layers). Quality is in the Castelli standards. It was on sale when I purchased it, so great value for money. Keep in mind the Squadra does not have any back pockets, and as the fit is slim you will not be able to quickly reach for the snack, but again for the price it looks nice and does a great job with wind protection.

This jacket is great for those chilly mornings that will warm up later. It works well as a wind breaker and packs well into a tight and small bundle. I purchased the XL size. Castelli jackets tends to fit tight in the shoulders for me and I go up a size from their jerseys which I buy in Large.

They come in really small sizes. I wear size Large jersey and this size large fits like a medium if not small. I had to return it and buy 2XL and the this one fits me perfect little snug but it fits me perfect.

I usually wear a L for jackets as it is always better to leave some room for the jersey/bibs underneath. So, brought a size L and as it turns out it is way smaller than L not even M either a S/XS so sadly had to return it! That said the quality is very good I would try getting an XL

Super schöne und leichte Jacke, genau so wie ich gesucht habe. Wichtig ist die Größe zu beachten, am besten eine Nummer größer nehmen. Ansonsten super Produkt!

J'ai en acheté le Gillet sans manche et celui-ci avec manche. Celui-ci, est trop, trop petit. Ma taille normalement c'est L parfois Xl, selon les avis dont j'avais lu avant d'acheter que disait que la coupe était petite, d'après ça, j'ai acheté le Xl. Je fais le retour car, trop petit. J'ai commandé le XXL et surprise, trop petit encore (ce fois ici, j'avais essayé avec les habilles vélo). Jirais essayer de commander le 3XL pour voir si enfin, a une bonne taille. PS. J'ai 1.96m et le dos large.

Bought two of these in size L but returned them for the XL which still fits tight but is great for the road. Even when completely soaked with rain it blocks the wind. Very thin and pocket rolls very compact.
