Well thought out
I bought this pack foe my wife because it was pink. (Ok. I know) I had made two other attempts to by her a pink pack only to be told "So sorry not in stock" two days after placing the order. With her birthday fast approaching I was down to this one.To my surprise it is very well though out down to little hooks to retain the shoulder straps when not in use.I am a seasoned backpacker and alpinist who used to out fit Everest expeditions and test gear for manufacturers, so I am highly critical. The fabric of this pack is adequate for the intended purpose although If you attach skis bases in (the logical way) I don't think it will stand up to sharp ski edges. The hardware and stitching are good. The fit is good. The shoulder and hip-belt padding however is pretty minimal, but it's not like you are going to carry 50 pound for 10 miles.Bottom line is that I would buy this again.

IMPRESSED!!!
This backpack was purchased mainly to efficiently utilize the free ski bus in the Cottonwoods. At the current price of gas, and the usual 24 mile round trip, the pack will be paid for in about 8 or 9 bus trips. As to construction: I have 3 packs/bags that are 600D. This fabric is definitely heavier. Although the Denier is not listed in details, there was a question asked and answered with 1680D. The bag is lightly padded and the bottom is padded more. The back is also padded moderately and when fully packed out caused no discomfort. Shoulder straps are padded but not heavily. Nice to have the two side pockets. A standard bottle of water fits in, but can not fully zip it closed. It does zip enough that a full bottle will not fall out, take a gulp and then zip it closed. All zips worked well, even when packed out fully. My boots are are less than 12.5, so no problem. I use a Smith Quantum helmet(Med), and this helmet's outer dimensions are quite large and fits with no problem, even with audio in the ear pads and gloves, goggles and other items. There is more than adequate storage for extras in the front two pockets. Yes, the front opens at the bottom, but your not going to access this pocket unless the pack is off and laying down. So not an issue. There is a lightly padded grab strap at the top of the bag, which should be adequate. There is also a pocket in the boot area for a power pack with a usb connection cord to the outer usb charging port. I did strap in my Kore 99's (even with a bottle of water in the pocket) to the pack. Place skis with tips down, so the brakes will be above the top of the pack. This is a 50L pack, and the waist strap is essential. There is a lot of adjustment in the shoulder straps to get the bottom of the pack in the right spot in the lower back, and the waist strap helps to secure it in place. On a bus day, this will be my backpack and that means compatibility with the chairlift. Padded back, not a problem. Open back, don't want to get caught up between the slats. This meant that whatever backpack I bought, the bottom had to be compressible and have an ability to get in a position for lift safety. The bottom of this pack is compressible. You can also fold the bottom in, so that the bottom rests against back. You will feel the upper top of the bottom against your back, but it is padded. You can also compress the whole pack by using the side ski straps. The waist strap is a must. As to durability, that's a test over time. All-in-all, it checked my boxes.

Spacious
Ample space for ski gear for 2 kids and fits in overhead storage on airplane.

Overall, a good buy.
Overall, I'm satisfied. I'm not sure it would be the best choice for someone with large feet. Top compartment functions as advertised. As for the rear clothing compartment: I can squeeze a parka and bibs into it , but again, if you're a large person, this might not work--you might be able to fit only one of those items. Also, the zipper/flap design on the rear compartment makes no sense to me. To open it, you have to pull the zippers up; would be much more functional if the flap opened downward (as is the case for the boot compartment). Lastly, the shoulder straps could use a bit more cushioning. All this said, it's a decent buy/well priced.

This bag fits it all!
Best features: I can fit not only by ski boots, but the top storage fits my ski pants, gloves, googles and hats. Nice side pocket for quick grab items along the charging connection makes for a great bag. Easy to travel from the car to chalet and back with the backpack feature. Great value. Highly recommend.

Love this bag!
This is really space efficient and convenient for skiing. The zippers are great, space is plenty, stands up well and carries well. I highly recommend this bag!

Lovely bag but zero padding
Great color. Lots of compartments. But zero padding so if you use itTo check your boots it won’t protect them at all. If you stuff it with clothing to be protective, the airline will charge you for another bag. A bag with nothing in it but your boots and a ski bag count as one checked bag. If you bring it on the plane it will have to be your overhead bin bag as it gets too big to go under the seat. Positive point: it has straps to connect to another suitcase for wheeling it in an airport. Just driving: it’s great !
