Works Well
I needed a replacement for the cutting part of my trimmer without having to buy the whole thing. This one works very well.

5 stars! Works perfect!
The media could not be loaded. I got the “used” ryobi straight shaft string attachment. It is in excellent condition even the stickers still look new- makes my old 2cycle engine look even older now!! Works great- no issues at all- even gave me some string too! Definitely would recommend a friend.

Guard is too small
All-in-all this is a very good unit. The problem I have is that the guard is too small. I like to do lawn work in short pants when the outside temperature is high. The small guard doesn't protect my legs at all. So I suffer from all manner of debris being kicked up and hitting my legs.

Works attached to my Dewalt Batter Powered Head
I picked this up becuase of the universal power head fit and because I was not able to purchase a Dewalt string trimmer head by itself. I wanted two sting trimmer heads because i converted one to a bush trimmer blade and wanted the string trimmer as well. I really tried buying just the Dewalt head but could not find one that was not the entire kit. So, Dewalt lost that purchase to Ryobi.I actually like this string trimmer head better than my Dewalt one. It is lighter and the way you reload is easier than the Dewalt one and it comes stock with a larger shield (I had to buy the larger Dewalt shield as an accessory purchase). If it were not for me having several Dewalt tools and batteries I am seeing more things I like from Ryobi. Not sure when you hit the tipping point to switch.
