I was clearly skeptical....but pleasantly surprised!
I have been experiencing numbness and tingling in my hand and arm due to my neck having some issues. Rather than get a steroid injection, I opted to try this first after my daughter purchased a different brand and thought she felt results. Hers was uncomfortable as the front part went up too high and made it hard to breathe, especially if you have a short neck.... After extensive research, I came across this one and it’s actually pretty comfortable (well, as comfortable as can be to have a pillow blown up around your neck...😌) and I was impressed by how well-made it is, how easy to use and actually felt like it was stretching my neck - almost felt good! The trick is to really use it 1+ times per day and not place it in a location that you can’t readily see as it’s easy to forget to use it daily. While it’s blown up, it does not choke you, does not come up too far in the front as it’s designed to be shorter under your chin and the cloth around it really does make a difference in level of comfort. Give it a shot....may save you some doctors or therapist appointments!

Decent quality, will eventually develop leaks but still works
I just noticed many years later the covering wasn't included. I'm a doc...traction works just be careful not to choke yourself or constrict your vascular circulation. This one is comfortable but after a year I needed to use a clamp on the hose to hold air. Still, one of the better ones I've owned at a reasonable price and I've lent it to family members too so it's had a lot of use and arguably I could give it 4 stars - but not holding air is obviously a big problem and I might try something else next time around. But it was still a reasonably useful device that I've now managed to still use off and on for a few years. It not only immediately eases pain but aids healing of "pinched nerves" by easing the gravity effects of vertebral compression allowing some healing time and breaking the pain cycle.

Durable. Purchased one in 2012 - it's still good five years later.
I bought one of these back in 2012 when my neck started hurting from computer work strain or some such. It helped back then. I had a flare up of the same kind of neck pain just recently (five years later) and pulled this item off the closet shelf. I was pleased to discover, first of all, that the device hadn't sprung a leak, and also that it is helping once again with my current neck pain. I wore it for about 15 minutes and it just keeps my neck steady and offers enough support that it helps somehow. Good to have it handy.

What a Dream!
The first one arrived with a leak. Disappointing as it was while pumping up the device I could feel the relief immediately but I knew I needed just a bit more but all of a sudden as it started to go higher I could hear seeping sound in my left ear. I didn't think anything of it at first but as I pumped the hand controller it wasn't getting tighter or higher so I turned off the TV and I could hear the air seeping out! I took the tubes apart and then reattached everything but it wasn't that it was in the neck seams. I contacted the seller and immediately they responded and sent out another one and I took the faulty one to Kohls for instant return. SO MUCH NICER THAN THE WATER BAG HANGING FROM THE DOOR my chiropractor gave me!!! I can take this on car rides (of course when I'm not the driver!) plane trips watching TV on the sofa. I love it!

Really worked! - Then started to leak!
I am skeptical of all these chiropractor type things but I took a chance for the small price and am super surprised and happy. Within a few days of using this a couple times a day I had a striking change that resulted in a real change in the range of motion and complete removal of neck pain from turning my head. I'm pretty sure that the velcro is going to give out soon, it really opened up my ideas about using this sort of thing and I'm going to order some other similar things for back and neck. It's interesting, it doesnt feel like you'd expect when you use it. It inflates and you feel a little tension but it's not obvious that it's stretching. Then when you relax the tension, you feel your neck slowly moving back to normal and it moves quite a bit!!Really good and felt very safe.UPDATE: After a few months of using this a few times a week, the product developed an air leak and is in the trash! I think though that it was such a value at $10 and I got so much use out of it, I'm not unhappy to order another. It also gave me an inexpensive entry into trying out a new type of product!

Cheap but Effective
When my other neck traction device failed upon developing a hole, I found this one. It was less than half the price and seems to be a genuinely better design. Probably should have given only four stars but gave it five because I do love it despite one little flaw. My unit arrived without the blue pincher as pictured above. Instead, it has a "bubble" with an inline valve which one presses to pinch off and close the unit when enough air has been pumped to accomplish the traction and stretch the bones of the neck slightly, This "bubble" valve did not work too well, requiring a number of pushes to seal the unit's air. Luckily the blue clamp pictured above was on the broken unit. And I hadn't thrown it out. So, I have installed this on the new unit, solving all problems myself, without having the hassle of contacting costumer service and returning it for an exchange. Not that they wouldn't do it, I'm sure they would. If your unit arrives with the blue clamp, you should have zero problems (and a healthier neck). This devise is made from a softer, more comfortable material than my previous one. It has the feel of velvet against the skin. Very nice when compared to the hard rubber of the former unit. I've seen many different devices in this genre, some costing nine times as much as this one. For people with very serious problems, these may be better, This cheap one is fine for my needs. Also of note: this neck traction device appears to be much less prone to cracking and developing the hole which rendered the former unit useless.
