Review: Favorite Baselayer! - Favorite wool baselayer! I work on the water in the PNW, so having a good base layer is necessary! I have 3 pairs of these and wear daily. They are comfy, stayput, and come in great colors! Super warm, soft, and great quality. Preferred over SmartWool. Fit is true to size. Review: Really nice woolen base layer, no itch - Comfortable and WARM - just what you want in a wool base layer. Learned long ago that wool is a fabulous insulator even when wet, but didn’t think I could stand it next to my skin. These pants however are absolutely non-itch. I’ve worn them under slacks and under a dress and they kept me warm and cozy at 10 degrees F while I was outdoors and no overheating when I was indoors. Fit is as expected. I’m 5’4” and around 140 pounds and ordered a Medium and these fit well; so far I’ve had no concern with them sliding down when I’m wearing them with skirts or dresses.

Perfect fit and warm.
The teal color is dull but looks great (i.e. it isn't a bright color). Very form fitting. Sizing was true to chart in my case. Ease of motion in these would make a ballerina happy. So far, I've used them as an underlayer in direct contact with skin. No itching. It is nice that I can wear them for several days without stinking. Obviously - wool sucks to maintain so I won't be purchasing a stack of these as a washing machine would shred them. But still a great purchase for cold days as a functional yet stylish item that requires some hand maintenance.

Warm & cozy / loses shape & durablity
I really love these leggings - they are super soft, very warm, and flattering when you first put them on. You can wear them for days and days and they won't get smelly or look dirty. However, my experience is that they lose their shape throughout a wear. What I mean by that is: I wore them for a few days, and each time I put them on, I noticed they got baggier and baggier with each wear - especially behind the knees and butt area. The don't hold their shape until you wash, which restores them to their original shape and cozy fit. As far as the fit goes, the sizing chart recommended I go medium, but the small fit me much better. Given how baggy they get, consider going down a size. They attract any and all pet hair/fuzz. I returned a black pair and got a teal pair, because I found it impossible to keep them looking clean (thank you to our 3 cats). I've found that lint rolling/brushing while wet is most effective. Seller was understanding and professional when I returned the black pair. I was able to wear them in 40-55 degree F weather without an outer layer and didn't feel too bad. I wore them in 63 degree F weather and they got too warm. In terms of durability, avoid washing them with anything that could snag it, like velcro, as they snag easily (not unusual for merino wool base layers). The area where my thighs rub together seem to already be showing signs of wear. Some reinforcement there since it's an area that takes a beating would be ideal. And a sturdier band to hold them on the hips so they don't slip so much as they get baggy). I am really pleased with these overall despite the issues I've encountered! Price point is very reasonable when compared to competitor prices.

Great fit, super soft, comfy and warm. Great value and very good quality !
Very comfortable and soft, especially after washing these (which i did on a gentle/wool cycle in the washing machine, but then hung up to dry and only put into the dryer for 5 minutes on wool setting to fluff up - super soft afterwards). Generally,I would not recommend to completely dry merino wool in the dryer- it makes the fabric stiffer. Size: I’m 5’8” and weigh 126 lb with a thin built, but long legs and I got a Medium in the leggings, which fit me well lengthwise, but I could have probably gotten away with the Small size, as they are a little loose on me in the hip area, but I am still able to wear these easily underneath of my hiking/trekking pants ( even the ones that are not a lose fit). They are very comfortable and perfect for cold weather- I got mine for a trip to Iceland (I went end of May to mid June and temperatures were between 30-42 degrees:) the price is very reasonable and the quality is definitely comparable , if not better, than some of those famous brands.

Soft and warm
I love these long John’s! They’re a lovely, soft, thick merino wool. The waist band is wide, comfortable, non binding. I’m 5’4”, 155 lbs. and bought a large. They’re loose and a little long so won’t fit well under pants but are great as lounge wear and p.j.s. I’ll probably get a pair in med too for a snugger fit.

Soft and comfortable
I usually wear size Small, and I think I would have fit the XS. But small is still okay although it’s a little loose in the legs. The merino wool is soft and comfortable to wear. Good quality.

Super soft and cozy
I pretty much live in these -- indoors and outdoors. Super soft, easy to care for, fits as expected. The waist is a bit lower and very comfortable compared to the tight elastic waistband than many merino base layers have. I have been wearing these regularly for probably three months, washed many times, and the quality and feel is still as good as when they came out the box.
