TEVO Black Widow 3D Printer Prusa i3 Variant w/Huge Print Size & Aluminum Frame

Bought this from amazon direct from tevo. it took me over 40 hours and multiple weeks to build this. the instruction manual is horrible. it lists parts that don't exist and expects you to know what you are looking at. the customer support is non existent. my ticket has been pending for over a month with no reply. the BL touch is a must as leveling the heatbed is VERY hard. but even worse is my CPU board came without any wires connected to the motherboard and there is absolutely no wiring diagrams. I had spent hours and hours trying to get it running. when i finally did the stepper motor boundary sensors didn't work. seeing as there is 4 cables and 6 slots that is 4096 (4^6) different combinations it could be to get it right. i am not going through that. if i had the ability to tear this down and ship it back i would.

If this is a new product... Why was the box already opened? I'm afraid to start assembling it to find out I have missing pieces. I really don't know what to do right now...

This printer is VERY easy to build if you can read. The manual has all the parts identified and even where to find them in the multi layered packing material. It's dead simple; although, there is quite of building to be done. This was my first printer and I had it up and running well very quickly. I modded it a bit to stiffen the frame, I changed the stepper motor drivers, and added a parts cooling fan.The Internet is loaded with how-to videos as well as various modifications and tweaks you can print to enhance your machine. Good value for money, especially now that the price is lower than when I bought it.

The manual looks like something from IKEA only not quite as helpful, that aside there is an excellent assembly series on youtube complete with lots of tips and tricks. It took me 2 weeks to put it together. I did some upgrades during assembly that had me waiting on parts from Amazon. I was a complete newb to 3d printing. This is printer prints are pretty good out of the box. I still have not calibrated it yet and really don't know that much about 3d printing but there is an excellent user community on facebook to help.

I ended up get this in one day. Best 500$ I've ever spent, this printer is AMAZING, although I would recommend you have experience with 3d printers before getting this printer.

STOP!!Don't buy this printer!!NO WARRANTYNO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!I had to replace AL the electronics in the first month due to under engineering.Under sized power supplyDefective heat bed (they knew they were defective but shipped them anyway)Under sized wiring (literally smoked the heatbed wires and the motherboard.This is another known and ignored problem. Contacted them SEVERAL times and never heard back.There are many more affordable and much better quality printers out there.Get a Anet A8.Very affordable and well made.
