Definitely Misleading advertising!!! Twice!!!!
Firstly, the product mentions in the description that this is for big dogs. WRONG! The back of the packaging specifically says it’s ‘for small to medium dogs. For larger dogs, Kong rubber toys are recommended’ yet we don’t get a chance to read the back until we purchase it. We have a small Border Terrier who is considered a strong gnawer, and a 3 yr German Shepherd. We also believed that this was a squeaker toy, not a ‘krinkle’ toy. We don’t know who because they both played with it, yet both end are cleanly removed as remnants of the glue is present and the insides removed. Now we have to search the house and yard because we’re not sure if any dog swallowed any part. Thanks goodness that the ends have holes so they don’t suffocate, yet there’s always the possibility of a bowel obstruction that could block and kill the intestines before you may notice soon enough to get to the vet on time. Our dogs had 2 other similar Kong stick toys like these, and one toy is still with us. Sure they eventually get destroyed yet not in 2 hrs after receiving them. So, as a warning to future buyers, please watch your larger and heavy chewer breeds closely if they get to play with them. Small & medium dogs and of course puppies will do fine and it’ll be great for puppy teeth. Yet definitely do not give it to large breeds even though it says it’s ok in the description. I would never complain about a color difference, the dogs don’t care, so neither do I! ; ) Hope this helps and we’ll just have to watch them closely and I guess we’ll use it as a training/fetch toy. Smear a little bit of peanut butter on it when you take its outside, hide it when they’re not looking and say “Find it!” It shouldn’t be long when those great sniffers they have on their nose will be able to detect it fairly soon. Plus dogs pretty much enjoy playing hide-n-seek with their owners! Drag your feet in the grass initially so they can track you. When they have perfected that and you feel they are ready for more, just walk to another hiding spot (scruff and bushy areas are great) and call their name once so they can get a bearing on approximately where you are, then watch their noses go to work. Yes I am a dog trainer, yet I train people how to teach their dogs without any harmful punishment. “Reward the good, Ignore the bad.” So even if they destroy every toy they own, please don’t scold them because they won’t associate chewing the toy with the punishment. They’ll associate you calling them to you as a bad thing because they came to you and you punished them. You want them to always want to come to you! Even if it takes real chicken pieces to make sure they will, praise them like there’s no tomorrow and they’ll come to you. Yet it you yell at them and possibly hit them (heavens forbid!), they’ll come to you lesser and lesser. I never like seeing a dog cower when going to his owner. Something is wrong with that relationship and it’s not good for either member in the group. And usually the dog looses by going away, and I’m sure most proper owners who care about their dogs would never want to mistreat them and those owners don’t want to get rid of their dogs. As far as any destructive behavior you find after the dog has left his toys, he’s completely forgotten already and that’s why he’s confused about being scolded. Now, if you catch him doing the destruction, you have to distract him immediately! I find the best distraction is a loud noise. Hit your hand hard on a nearby table, or bang some thing. We would make a loud, “EH!” noise! When they turn to look at you, tell them to “Leave it!” Then take it away from them. A few minutes later when you’re calm and sitting down, call them to you for a very small snack and lots of praise! The praise is more satisfying for them, yet dogs are so food oriented, that always works when they are new to training, or are puppies. Gotta love them and that’s why I wrote more then expected. Eventually you can lessen the amount of food treats you give them and they’ll come because they love you so much and that’s what you want! Happy Pawliday!

No Squeak
I thought the description stated that this toy squeaked (My dogs favorite toy) but they do not. Kind of a crinkly/crunchy sound. They still play with them, but not with enthusiasm as with squeaky ones. Disappointed for my 4 legged fur babies

NOT SQUEAKY!
I purchased this specifically because it was supposed to come with a squeak. The first time it arrived it was an empty package. On the reship I got crinkle toys. My dogs really wanted that squeak. And of course I didn't notice until after they had it, so no returns for me.

Not as Advertised
Not as advertised. I ordered these because the picture says it's the Squeak version and I was unable to locate it at PetSmart. However I received 2 of the Crackle Sticks. As for the crackle stick it's still a good product and my dog likes it.Low overall rating because it's not what I intended or thought/was led to believe that I ordered.

Gone in 10 minutes
My dog had the end torn off and the inside plastic guts out in under 10 minutes. Worthless toy.
