Mr. Brog Churchwarden Tobacco Pipe - Model No: 300 Dyktator Green Ebony Rusticated - Pear Wood Roots - Hand MadeMr. Brog Model No 300 Dyktator Tobacco PipeOur Dyktator Churchwarden pipe is made with high quality pear wood that is dried for 2 full season cycles to harden as much as possible. This pipe is made from the roots of pear trees, and is equivalent to the density of briar pipes. The number 300 Dyktator pipe is the classic pipe yet very unique, finished with natural coating and carnauba wax.Every pipe is signature stamped with the Mr. Brog seal, and model number hand made by Mr. Brog in Poland. Our uniquely crafted Churchwarden pipes generally produce a cool smoke due to the distance smoke must travel from the bowl to the mouthpiece. They also have the added benefit of keeping the user's face away from the smoke and heat of the bowl. Our MissionWhile we try to fill the needs and hands of the pipe smokers community, we also do our best to keep the pipe making process an art of form, not to be commercialized and machine made. Over the years we have successfully sold over 2,000,000 pipes, and are the leader of the European pipe market.Affordable Without Lacking QualityOur goal from the start was how to be effectively producing many pipes, while keeping the cost at a minimum. We brought the costs down while not compromising the quality of the pipe and smoke. We proudly consider ourselves the king in affordable pipe manufacturing. Being affordable also means that any individual can own a full collection of a pipe rack. Styles, finishes, colors etcÂ…

Looks good but won't smoke
The darn thing doesn't smoke; the hole from the stem to the bowl is so high it becomes blocked by the stem insert and nothing gets through. I've pulled the stem outward about the thickness of the silver-tone ring and it will smoke, but not well.I have my doubts this is actually wood as described, but some man-made material like the cheap throw-aways I keep in my glovebox should I find I left my real wood smoker at home. Otherwise, the pipe feels good between my teeth and would make a grand daily smoker with its deep bowl. While advertised as a Church Warden, it is actually a solid calabash, yet I took a risk seeing the photo and got the one I wanted, but for the little problem about the inability to smoke it!

Not usable
Poorly executed workmanship. The draught hole was drilled so high in the mortise that it is blocked by the tenon. It is almost impossible to draw from this pipe, even without a filter. I may attempt to drill an additional draught hole. Very disappointed.I have purchased other products from Mr. Brog, including another No. 300 Dyktator (one of my favorite regularly used pipes), without issue.

Very Satisfied
I'm brand new to smoking pipes but I did a lot of research of Mr. Brog pipes as well as pipes in general. I read and viewed countless reviews of Mr. Brog pipes too and the vast majority were quite positive. I can honestly say that, although I have no experience with other pipe makers, I have to agree with most other reviewers: It is a BEAUTIFUL pipe that appears to be well-made. I've smoked it several times and it lives up to my every expectation. It has a deep bowl and that suits me fine too.I WILL definitely buy other Mr. Brog pipes.

Keep It Classy!
Bought for my husband for Christmas. He's absolutely in love with this pipe. Keep in mind, this is a real classy Sherlock Holmes type pipe, so it's big! The bowl is quite large. It fits in my husbands hand great without being too heavy. It stays lit, the stem does NOT get too hot, which is great and it has a smooth pull. Well made, too. The color was as described and beautiful and the decorative silver ring was a nice touch. Would buy from Mr. Brog again!

Beautiful pipe, needs a little work.
I think this pipe is beautiful. It's not exactly 100% as shown but mine is close enough. I did have a problem with the filter fit however. The filter is loose fitting in the stem so I decided to wrap it in a small piece of paper so it wont completely fall into the shank, as others have suggested. Doing this cut off the draw completely. Turns out the draw is coming from around the filter because the shank hole is drilled to end dead center the filter cartridge at a perpendicular. Had to do some work with the dremel to get it to work. I wish Mr. Brog would have tested these a bit before shipping them out. Just makes it feel slightly less polished knowing that I had to finish their work. I would but it again however because I love the style.

Great Pipe, bought this for Saint Patrick's Day smoking ...
Great Pipe, bought this for Saint Patrick's Day smoking since at the time I couldn't afford to buy a Peterson's 2017 Saint Patrick's Day pipe, it was well worth the money and smoked just as good as Peterson's pipes, glad I saved my money and bought this pipe. The only thing to watch out for is when you clean it, don't get the alcohol on the outside because it will pull off the green color, I don't think it is a natural green, I think they stained it. Still good pipe!

Bad design.
Twice ordered, twice did not receive item pictured. First pipe cracked, second pipe vent hole drilled so high it was blocked by the filter and to difficult to draw. Stem had a downward left tilt so very uncomfortable on left side of mouth where I usually keep it. The rusticatation was like a bad paint job and bubbled up all around the pipe.I have several Mr brog pipes I use and this is the first I've ever had any issue with their pipes, they need to think how the design and build this one.

This pipe looks really cool and will definitely turn heads
This pipe looks really cool and will definitely turn heads. The bowl is huge. Easily holds twice as much tobacco as other pipes like my Churchwarden - ARGO (also from Mr. Brog). Not sure if saying 2x more is pushing it, but this pipe definitely holds more tobacco than any of my other pipes. Picture does not do it justice since you can't get a feel for how big the outside of the bowl is and how much it hold. My only complaint is that I always have problems smoking it, but that could just be because I'm new. I end up packing too tight and can't draw out of it, which means starting over. Sometimes the draw is a bit hard, but it doesn't stay lit. Otherwise, it's a really nice pipe.
