Phoibos
Good quality microbrand, a few things could be improved but over all excellent, I have a collection of 33 watches this is not inferior to the ones of a similar price and betters some more expensive ones.

Quality without the hefty price tag
This watch makes me wonder why I bother with Seiko anymore. Very well made watch with high end specs. Sapphire Glass, Ceramic bezel, screw down crown, engineer bracelet, wave pattern dial, superb case back octopus logo. Seiko seem to have become greedy lately with what they charge. If Seiko were too release a watch with these specs you would easily be paying double. This is my 3rd Phoibos now and look forward to future releases. Truly awesome watch.

Heavy and thick
It has the quality and solid feel but my main concern is the thickness of it, it will be a great watch for the summer, £250 can get a fair amount of choices in the market.

Quick date not working.
Nice looking watch, but quick date is not working, and I took all the wrapping off before discovering this fact...so I'm keeping it as is.

Heavy, high quality watch.
I was looking for yet another dive watch to add to my collection after flipping a few of my cheaper watches. I fancied a Seiko but every time I see something I like it's way overpriced for what you get.I knew of the brand Phoibos and this caught my eye with its unusual looks and high specification. After watching a few favourable reviews I ordered one with the nh35a date. It's a fair chunk of steel to carry around but it's comfortable once sized up coming in at 198 grams. The watch is very well made with a solid build and a practically flawless finish. This is a real step above the usual Chinese stuff including San Martin. It's a proper microbrand so I think the makers can offer a higher degree of attention to detail. The bezel action is very good with none of the backplay reported on some reviews. Dial is very well done with fantastic lume, the logo is polarising but I like it a lot. I thought the bracelet would be a generic Chinese engineer but it's actually very nice and comparable to strapcodes offerings. Caseback has an embossed logo which again is very well executed. The only bad points are a few sharpish edges here and there but a very minor issue. Packaging is also very good with comprehensive paperwork and a nice box.So far I'm really pleased with the watch. To get a Seiko with similar spec you would be looking at least double the price.. It may not have the brand status but this offers so much more for your money.

Very good for the price - if you like the dial and case size.
Here's my immediate analysis of this Phoibos watch:1. It seems to wear larger than the 42mm case size would suggest, which I like.2. The dial is beautiful and fits my personal taste. It is three-piece abalone, with the pieces placed together vertically.3. The hand winding action is smooth, the crown threads are smooth and accurate, and the case back is attractive. The watch looks well made and well machined. The crown size is near perfect for this watch.4. I really like the coin edge on the bezel. In most photos, the bezel color seems like it is a flat black. My bezel is glossy black. I would have preferred the flat.5. The strap is very comfortable and seems well made. The buckle is nice.6. I have three dozen watches, most of them autos that sit for weeks while I wear others, so I could not care less about accuracy.7. My collection includes $3500 Longines to $100 Citizens. I would rate the build quality of this watch, in as much as I can tell, to be as good as my Henry Archer, slightly better than my Seikos, not as refined as my higher priced Longines and Oris, and on par with my best Citizens (Signature series). For less than $300, this watch is a true bargain if it functions reliably over time. We'll see.

Really nice watch.
It's a watch I enjoy looking at to check the time. Has a really good lume to see at night. Nice and tight rotating bezel. An attractive watch for sure.Couple things to know. It keeps good time. However it is running a little fast. In about 1x month watch runs fast by about 5 minutes. This seems to be the norm for an automatic watch. For me it's not a problem. The watch strap may be a little tight at first. But over time it stretches a bit and is fine for me. I also periodically gently stretched the strap by hand.Careful to support the pins that hold the strap to not damage pins during the stretching process. That's if you have big wrists like me and need to stretch the straps a bit.Over all quite happy with my purchase. Have had it for close to 3x month's.

Very impressed
My first phoibos! I got it on sale for $374 and I'm very happy with it for the price - solid build, beautiful colours on the abalone, great detail. Feels very nice and very expensive, for an affordable price - absolutely chuffed
