The best advice that I can give is DON'T BUY IT. In 92 years this is the worst appliance that I have ever come across. The blades can be inserted but are almost impossible to remove, the on/of button is equally difficult/ impossible to activate and when one does finally get this machine to run it doesn't slice it merely shreds the food. I only gave it one star because it came in a nice box. If I had sufficient mobility to reach the Post Office I would return it, but as it is I am stuck with a load of junk

I bought this knife specially to be able to cut bread/meat myself without having the help of anyone, however once you put the normal blades in,no matter how hard I press the release button it I just cannot take them out again, making it very difficult to store the knife as it won’t fit in the box with the blades in, for this reason I wouldn’t recommend this knife.

I read previous reviews, and I was filled with fear and trepidation. I was overly concerned because it was going to come with a UK/European power plug. I have to say this now, I have used it for the first time today, it's a fantastic electric carver (I have adaptors).Was the cord/lead too short? No. If it was, I would've just moved the roast closer to the power outlet. Did the blades get stuck inside the unit, rendering it useless and difficult to return for a refund? No. Easily removed BOTH sets of blades numerous times without an issue (and I certainly won't be returning the item).Was the unit overly noisy? No again, unless my hearing is going on me, which it isn't. Besides, the unit is in operation no longer that a few seconds at a time. I wasn't trying to carve up a Mastodon.Was the operation button compromised, in that it was difficult to operate the ON/OFF button? No. I have blamed fat fingers/thumbs on sending SMS on my mobile, I used my thumb with absolute ease.And value for money? Yes. I am very happy with the product overall, and have put my fears to rest. Sometimes, you can't believe everything you read. Fortunately, this isn't one of those reviews.You'll be very pleased you purchased this product, I certainly was.
