This worked great for our cross country move
This worked great for our cross country move. Kitties were contained but could still move about the back of our SUV without hindering the driver. Easy to install and plenty sturdy enough.

Great once you use ZIP TIES
I bought this barrier as I just purchased a newer 2011 Tahoe and wanted to keep the dogs out of the backseats/front. I have 2 small dogs and 2 large dogs. The 1st one I had was bent, and the seller promptly apologized and sent me a new one. This thing works great once you throw away the god awful clamps and bolts that come with it and follow the instructions using zip ties instead. I tried putting this thing together by myself and was unsuccessful when using the included parts. I finally had some help, installed it, and it rattled like crazy, then I went to adjust it and the included brackets came undone and the whole side panel fell off in the truck. Needless to say I was pretty upset, yanked the thing out of the car and left it in the garage for weeks. Finally, while reading online, I saw a suggestion to use zip ties. I went to the garage, found a bag of black 6' ties and boy did it do the trick. I threw all the included brackets in the recycling bin and within minutes, set this baby up in the truck without hassle or assistance. I put some extra zips on it to make sure it doesn't rattle and can report that it is holding up great.Steps I used to install.- Outside the car I put the 2 center pieces together with zips and installed the legs.- I brought it into the car, centered it, and extended the legs till it was right where I wanted it- One by one I took the side panels, aligned them where I wanted them and loosely placed a couple zips to hold in place, then as i got it situated I tightened the sides.Total install took roughly 5-10 minutes

Universal Wire Vehicle Barrier from Kennel-Aire
The unit is advertised as able to fit in all SUVs and vans and even repeats that on the box. However, it does not fit our 2005 Yukon SLT. In addition, my husband commented that it is not very hefty--flimsy was his actual word. I returned it for a refund but mistakenly chose the wrong reason (didn't fit) so am being charged for return shipping. All around, not a good experience.

Awful design.
This product is extremely poorly designed. First of all, it is a pain in the neck to put together. The instructions are not helpful at all, and the "clamping" mechanism is cumbersome and difficult to put together. It is also completely and utterly ineffective. If you have a minivan with a bench middle seat, it will not cover the one part that you want: the area by the door where, once the "barrier" is installed, would be where your dog would walk through. Might as well just use a baby gate and put it in the back instead of use this product. It seems completely flimsy when put together, and I'm pretty sure it will fall over onto the dogs if they even touch it.It also tore up the roof of my car and left scratches all over the inside of my car.Do not buy this product.

Very Sharp - As in cuts the crap out of you...
Read all the reviews on how sharp the edges are. I cut the crap out of myself just taking it out of the box. I spent an hour filing down as much as I could but there were still sharp edges where the bars come together at the edge. It scratched my 4runner pretty bad until I noticed as I was putting it in. I plan on getting that rubber stuff for tools and dabbing it on all the edges. The top has that type of coating on it to protect the head liner, I can't believe they didn't just do all the edges. Buy some black zip ties to use where the pieces overlap, the few connectors do not hold enough to keep it from rattling a bit. The other barriers like this are a lot more but considering all the trouble and damage, I would have spent more. If I didn't try filing/grinding all the edges I would have sent it back. Plan on attaching it some other way than the included legs, they will not hold unless you put a tremendous amount of pressure on the roof of your vehicle. I used the tie down D-rings on the back of the seats and the headrest bar and it worked great. (see photos) All in all, for the money it isn't bad. I will update after putting the rubber stuff on the outside and testing.

This worked great, I have a 60lb very hyper puppy and this worked to keep him in the backseat. It didn't damage even damage the interior of the car when puppy jumped up the whole trip.

Easy to put together
Easy to put together. I wished the mesh wire was from the floor to top but its not. It only blocks about three feet behing the front seat head rests down to the middle of the seats in my Toyota Sienna 8 pax van. I'm using my sun shade to block the bottom half to keep my two cats in the back. This is more for large dogs versus small dogs or cats. I had a little trouble installing it by myself due to it being a little cumbersome. It really takes two people to install it properly and evenly.

was easy to install
This is solidly built, was easy to install, and doesn't rattle or make a sound. I've had it installed for about a month now, and haven't had any issues with it. I left off the side panels because the gaps it leaves in my car (09 Toyota Highlander) aren't big enough for my 60-pound lab/pointer mix to squeeze through easily, and she's not prone to try to escape.

Good for price
Fits my ford escape very good. Seems sturdy, I do get a bit of rattling when on a bumpy road. Other than that its good
