Orchids mix
My orchids love this mix. It's the only thing I use for them. They bloom about 3-4 times a year and the blooms stay for over a month. Love it.

Worked great and NO BUGS
I used this mix and my orchid is very happy. After I placed my order I then read many reviews that complained of the mix having bugs. I started to dread my receipt of the bag. I usually would just buy it locally but this was less expensive the local stores. Anyhow, upon receipt I opened it outside in the sun, inspected it, n didn't see any bugs. I let it sit a while n still no bugs. I repotted my orchid n watered it n left it outside for a day. No bugs. So now my orchid is in my window and has thrived. I'm very pleased the dirt doesn't fall out of the side holes of my pot. Thank u.

The orchid I repotted has taken off!
This orchid bark is a nice size. I had an orchid in desperate need of a new home and after transplanting it it has been growing rapidly. That is no doubt do to whatever food MiracleGro put in with the soil. I know it might not bloom this year but it looks healthy otherwise. Orchids are kind of weird but common species generally easy to grow. The nicest thing you can give them is air even around the roots. Gentle feeding helps too. The species I have and cymbidiums I used to have need to be crowded (but not root bound with roots wrapping around each other) to bloom. It can be easy to over water. I have the one I rescued near my kitchen sink for added humidity.

Good but becareful of bugs
I ordered seven of these to even out foundation and decor the garden I have. While working the area, I noticed that two bags came with bugs. However, if you sprinkle some DiatomaceousEarth on and around plants, this would deter these pests without poisoning the garden and preventing an all out infestation. Most what I received is mulch and bark, not soil. Make sure to order lots. These bags are tiny. I ordered seven and only managed to cover 6ft by 5ft by 3 inch high of land. I will need 15 more to cover the rest. Waiting on the buyer to restock to get more.

Good Soil Amendment Not Orchid Mix
So, if you are looking for Orchid potting mix, you definitely want to search elsewhere, because I would NEVER pot prized Orchids in this mix. The bark is small chippy pieces rather than nice large chunks, (very much like their garden soil) and there is filler soil and very fine pieces. However, after reading reviews, I knew all of that going in, and purchased this solely as a houseplant potting mix amendment, which I am happy to say, it's fabulous for. Perfect to add texture, extra aeration and some slow release fertilizer, with my regular perlite and coco coir blend. As gardeners, we often need to use products "off label" and this is one of those. SIDENOTE - There were no bugs or mold in my mix.

Excellent for my rootbound orchid
I didn't realize that when you get an orchid as a gift, you should probably check the roots to see if it needs a larger container and new medium. I didn't, and two years later, my orchid seemed like it was dying. I researched to find out what to do and bought this, some fertilizer, and a larger pot with slits in it. I followed directions to soak this first and let it drain. I cut off all the dead roots and planted it. It's been a month now, and is greatly improving. I'll never use anything else for my orchid.

Mirical-Gro potting mix for Orchids
I got myself a couple of Orchids. My Orchids roots werenโt looking very good after getting them from the local grocery store. Did some research and came across this potting mix. I purchased the mix and went to town repotting them. Within about a week I could see the Orchids were much happier. I say you could probably replant about 3 Orchids with the amount of potting mix you get. Great price. Highly recommend. And will be repurchasing more.

Good size chunk
Love this mix to make my chunky mix to use for most of my plants. The pieces are not to big or small. When added to a chunky pumice, I can use it for my orchids.

Coarse but still has a fair bit of finer matter.
This product was decent. It did seem to have a bit more finer matter than I wanted but I'm sure it will be fine.

Good materials but overpriced!
The product seems fine but I found out I'd paid double what it was worth. Much cheaper in stores.
