Great for file storage, love the lid gasket. One box had a broken part, it was easy to request a replacement part, it came right away and was easy to install.

My husband was looking for something to easily transport common files and projects between offices, as he commutes to a remote location 3 days a week. At first he thought it was too large, but now loves it, as it has plenty of capacity for files and small binders, as well as a spot for pens, binder clips, etc. in the lid. It holds a lot, latches very securely, with a comfortable handle and still looks new after months of heavy use. As a point of comparison, I had ordered a slightly smaller/more narrow version from another brand prior to this one, which arrived cracked, with flimsy, shattered plastic. This is VERY sturdy, not fragile or likely to crack. Have ordered other Iris products since, and they've all been great.

I was carrying my files around in a cardboard box before I purchased this. This box works great with standard, letter size hanging file folders. I like the lid on top to help store additional office supplies. The box is lightweight for easy portability.Why I rate it 4/5 stars...- the latch to open/close the box is flimsy and pops off easily- the clear "lid" on top of the box is flimsy and pops off easily- when you open the lid, it bends all the way backwards. There is no stop to help keep the lid uprightI've been using this daily for 2-3 weeks. We'll see how long it lasts.

These boxes have been a life saver! The sturdy containers hold all of the files for each year of our business. They are easy to label. Simple stacking keeps things tidy and safe. The design is great for ease of access to the information as reference, whenever needed. These fit any storage need but work great for Tax and office storage solutions. They did not smell or have an odor - that is a bonus. The color is clear with a black fold together lid for stability and fully open top! They stack will and fit on shelves for storage too!

I had purchased a “NOK box” - a next of kin box with folders & instructions to complete for having my things in order in case of passing- and really liked the container the company used to hold everything. I searched on Amazon and found these exact same containers. These are a great quality product!

These plastic file boxes are JUNK. They are very flimsy & too small & won’t hold up. The advertising video and pictures show this file box larger than what came, & very sturdy looking. It even shows it to be used either for the letter n legal folders. Theres No way that all the paperwork n file folders n hanging files would all fit in one fine box as shown in tge pictures n video of the product.Advertised pics & videos are deceptive. The portable boxes I recd were Not the same.I was so excited to get my paperwork organized n being able to file it too.I am sending both back n will just go to our local office supplies or Walnart to buy more file boxes, like the ones I already have. They are heavier, & sturdier .

I had to return this product for just one reason. It was difficult for me to open. I know that sounds silly, but if I am going to have to open and close this item frequently, I want it to be smooth and easy. It may have been that the plastic was a little cold from travel? But the location I planned to place it would be cold sometimes (garage) - so that could be a problem for me. I read a lot of different reviews both positive and negative, and wasn't sure if this product would work for me since some claimed it was not very sturdy. My conclusion is that if you need something inexpensive that you don't have to open frequently - this could work great. It is just "sturdy enough". I would not call it flimsy at all. But I would also not call it heavy duty - it is someplace in between. But if you want something for frequent use, it may not be optimal. Here's what was good about this product: it was fairly sturdy, the hinge might possibly be a little flimsy, but I did not get to test this over time since I sent it right back. The small storage area on top seemed to work fine and opened and closed fine (but I actually wasn't planning on using that part). I did test if files hung inside ok, and that was great - they fit perfectly. Here's what I felt was not as well done: The main latch did not open in an intuitive way for me as it opened in the opposite way I was expecting. It opens down. I actually was afraid I was going to break it and then noticed that there were small bumps on the bottom/side edges indicating a hinge. Once I knew to pull down, it opened, but not without some struggle. If you have a weak grip this could be a problem. Also, I planned to have it on the ground in the location where I was going to use it and would have to lean down to open it and place items inside. This made the difficulty opening it more problematic. The leverage was all wrong - at least for me. The unit also does not have the right balance. When empty and the top is opened fully it very nearly tips over backwards - but not quite. Once lots of files are in, I am sure this would not be a problem, however, but if you don't plan to keep it very full this instability might be annoying, as it might be prone to getting accidentally knocked over if it was sitting open. I was disappointed this could not work for me, but would be willing to try a newer version of this product if they made the latch more user friendly.

The boxes are very sturdy and are great to use for files or other important documents. I can easily use hanging folders to have documents more organized. The tab used to lock it holds well when filled to the brim. I use these heavy duty boxes for my clients important records so it makes a great impression when I return their important documents in these boxes.
