In Jewish tradition, the white threads on the corners symbolize righteousness and the normally blue threads sometimes they will all be white symbolizes the heavenly origins of the commandments. the # and knots symbolize the # 613 precepts of the Law and the windings equal the numerical value of the Hebrew words for "The Lord Is one". Read: Numbers 15:38-39. Tradionally prayers were sewed into the prayer shawl. If you use scripture you are wrapping yourself in the word of God. Some have healing scriptures sewn on each corner. Some have the names of God Ex: Jehovah Jireh. Some have scriptures about God's power. Ex: All power and Might are the Lord's. Each prayer shawl's 4 corners theme matches. All 4 are either on healing, God's names, About God's power, etc. Hope this was helpful. I have several and use them in prayer or at conference's or church. I even have one that represent's the fire of God. Use it when and where ever you choose.
