Leading Change in Healthcare: Transforming Organizations Using Complexity, Positive Psychology and Relationship-Centered Care

Should be required reading for healthcare professionals everywhere
I am a professor at a well-known east coast medical school. I have been a student of healthcare leadership and administration for years. I received my copy of "Leading Change in Healthcare" last week. It is really a brilliant piece of work. I am so impressed with the clarity of the writing and the compelling morality of this approach to organizational health. In science, every once-in-awhile, a theory or an equation or a discovery comes along that is so simple and clear and elegant an explanation of the natural world that everyone knows it MUST be correct. Relationship-centered care and relationship-centered administration have that resonance, that "rightness," for me. I've already ordered extra copies to distribute to some people who I believe are ripe for this material.

Essential for Health Care Administrators
As a nursing leader I am faced daily with complexities of the systems and processes that must be navigated in the delivery of safe patient care. This book provides case studies and real life examples of how focusing on people and relationships will navigate us to improved health care for tomorrow. It is an easy read and allows for a quick study. It has beome my constant companion in my large academic medical system. Thank you Dr. Suchman. - Mary Coffey
