Took some patience, but it worked
I bought this kit to try and remove the cracked screen from an old cell phone. Based on other reviews, I was expecting to end up setting the iOpener aside in favor of a hair dryer, but after a little experimentation to figure out how how it needed to get and lot of patience, it actually worked pretty well. The rest of the prying and scraping tools worked as well as expected, and they mostly all came in useful at some point or another during the process. If I had a gripe it's that the swiveling top on the screw driver that's supposed to let you effectively turn in in place doesn't really spin very well. I didn't need it for this job, and I've got their nicer aluminum version already so this wasn't a big deal for me.

Awesome kit. Helped me in every facet of repairing my wife's Microsoft Surface Book. Replaced the screen and all the tools worked great with getting the old screen off, carefully disconnecting the wires and ensuring that nothing was damaged in the process. Heating roll doesn't stay hot too long, so you gotta move quick with the prying picks and opening tool. But great to have, incase you gotta repair any other tablets or cellphones.

Tools are nice
The iOpener heating pack does absolutely nothing. If you buy this, I hope you're buying it for all the other tools, because those are useful. Everything came as it should and works except the heating pack, which doesn't get hot enough or stay hot long enough to be effective. I recommend a hairdryer over it.

It's ok.
I used the iOpener to replace the screen on a Note8. It worked fine on the rear glass after a few minutes. The screen itself was a problem, it just couldn't get hot enough. I ended up using a hair dryer, and finished my job. I did produce some nice even heating, and for some phones with weaker or less glue, this thing may be hot enough. YMMV.The rest of the tool kit is nice though. It came with some nice hefty ESD tweezers, a nice big suction cup and all of the prying tools I needed.
