The Nutty Fruit House Assorted Rods Candy (1 Pound (Pack of 1))

So for years I have been trying to figure out how to find this candy. It was the highlight when going to Razoos. Me along with my friends would take huge handfuls of this candy when we were leaving the restaurant. I finally found out the name and looked on Amazon and of course they had it. They are really good. Most of the flavors anyway. I wasn’t exactly excited about the price but I was like well may as well go ahead just so I can have this candy.

I've tried several brands of hard candy and I really prefer these the most. I bought another brand that was round rather than oblong and all of them within a few weeks had the wrappers stick to the candy. With this brand this has never ever happened. With the other brand I had to throw all the candy away because it was just a mess to try to open them up. This brand that's never happened and they're very flavorful.

The description on the package states that there are "peppermint" candies included in the assortment. This is not the case. I was sorely disappointed to find that there are spearmint candies instead. If you hate spearmint/wintergreen as much as I do, beware. The upside to this loss is that there are a fair amount of licorice candies. I loooooove licorice (aka black licorice), so this made up for the spearmint fiasco. These candies are pretty tasty overall.

I live in the South where the humidity is high most of the time. I’ve purchased a number of hard candies, including Jolly Ranchers, and they all get sticky while sitting in the candy bowl. These rods did not!! Even after several days of very high humidity, they are perfect!! Best hard candy purchased in a long time!!

I didn't like all the flavors. None were great. I like fruit and sour flavored candy. This mix has weird blue minty ones and yellow butterscotch ones. Gross. I had to give those away. It did say there were mint and butterscotch ones, I just thought the other flavors would make up for it. I will never buy this candy again. It's suppose to be a mixture of flavors. I recieved a lot of cherry, lemon and orange. I didn't get any butterscoth, pineapple or licorice. The flavors have a bland taste. THE WORSE PART THAT WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURED INFORMATION WAS: THE EQUIPEMENT USED TO PROCESS: Diary, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, pecan, nutmeg and soy protein. My grand- daughter ate a piece and had a severe reaction. She has an allergy to nuts, it was good I had a epi-pen available. She could have died. I want my money back.

I bought the candy for our office. My boss loves the Brachs hard candies. I can't find them anymore so try to find different hard candies. He likes licorice and I noticed that flavor is in the bag. The fruit flavors are very good. I am not a licorice fan, so am waiting for him to pick one up. Candy is great!
