Avenir Alloy Bicycle Bottle Cage (6mm)

I ordered "Avenir Alloy Bicycle Bottle Cage (6mm)." The item I got from Bikezilla (through Amazon) does not match the picture or description of this item. It IS a handlebar mount. And when I look at my order the item title calls the item a handlebar mount. But the link from the order goes back to the tube mounted version, and when I view the "Avenir Alloy Bicycle Bottle Cage (6mm)" it says THAT was what I ordered (as I intended). I do not think the error was with Bikezilla. I think Amazon has the two items mixed up and I suggest not ordering until you check with the supplier to make sure you will get what you want. The item looks fine, just doesn't match the picture.

This cage is relatively sturdy and well made for an aluminum cage. It is quite adequate for holding a water bottle securely. I just went for the best price and am satisfied with this one. My bikes are quite nice and my standards are high. Go for it. If you really want a great cage, go for the Ti King cage, which is bombproof but quite expensive. Short of spending $50 this is about as good as you can do.

These are advertised as Avenir water bottle cages but they are not. I have 6 Avenir powder coated brushed nickel from a purchase from Bike Nasbar that are high quality but these are low quality. These are over priced cheap knock offs that are misrepresented in the photo. These appear to be frosted brushed nickel in the photo but what was sent was a chrome, thin metal, no brand name with no bolts to fasten on to the bike frame! These are worth $2 each not $6 each as I was charged. I could have bought these for much less and it would have done the same job! These do not work at all for which I bought them for. I wanted the frosted cage holders to match the cage holders that I already have but these do not and are very low quality. I highly do not recommend. I would return them but by the time I pay shipping it will cost half of what I paid.

I would have given it 5 stars, but there was nothing included to attach it to my bicycle, and there weren't even instructions for how to go about attaching it to a bike or where to put it.

Great water bottle holder. Very pleased with the quality. Make sure it is being sent from the USA. Item not as good when sent from another country. I bought three of these and was really happy with two of them because they were sent from inside the USA. The third one was sent from another country and the quality is not nearly as good.

I did not know you had to buy extra parts to hook it up to your bike. Also, does not fit my larger water bottles. I am going to try to bend it so my own water bottle fits in it as soon as I buy the other part to attach it to my bike.

Not the best bottle cage I've owned. The part closer to the bicycle frame catches the bottle a bit on its way in. Otherwise OK for the price

Light, durable, unpretentious and easy to install. Note that it does not come with any mount hardware and is not adjaustable. So check that your bike has a standard mount location on the down tube and that the screws are still there.
