DPS 5HP MY-PS-5 Used for 3HP(2.2kW) 9A Motor, Single to 3 Phase Converter, 1 DPS Must Be Used for 1 Motor Only, Input/Output 200-240V, UL Listed

To convert three phase to single phase For Delta shaper it worked perfectly in my application

I hooked up this device to convert the 220V in my garage to 3 phase and power up my geared head lathe. The result was very disappointing also after checked the Amp rating and selected the right dps for my machine it seems like it was struggling to start the lathe. The lathe motor made a loud growling noise and it didn’t run at full speed. However it started. I am giving this product a second chance and I seriously don’t know how accurate is the output in therms of Amps and Voltage. So to power up a 3 HP lathe I will try with the MY PS 7.5 and see what happens. The lights on the lathe were very dimmed with my ps 5 so this thing was just a waste of time for now.

Hooked it up to my 1967 Clausing lathe and no worries no hassle just worked , Good bang for the buck

I purchased an expensive but used industrial-sized fume extractor and when called the electrician out to hook up a 220 outlet he informed me that the machine was 3 phase and it would cost "thousands" to get a converter and told me I should just scrap it.Well I took a chance and purchased this, hooked it all up completely on my own, was really easy, and it runs perfectly. Don't expect great instructions and make sure you know exactly what HP your motor is, but it works. Normally this stuff never works out right for me but this time it did.

3 phase motor on a tumbler 6 amp draw ,The motor would not turn fast enough to generate the 3rd leg of powder due to heavy start up load. THIS WOULD WORK IF THE MOTOR YOU INSTALL IT ON DOSE NOT HAVE A HEAVY LOAD ON START UP. like a fan ,mill, drill press ECT. low load on star up. will not work on tumbler ,air compressor ,primed pump etc.. the seller did not list this. I install different kind of phase converter and my tumbler ran fine. SELLER NEEDS TO LIST THIS SO NO ONE WAST THERE TIME.THEY HAVE TO KNOW.

the chart for this product says 9amps but the lable on the product says 15amps, will blow fuses all day long.

Brother bought tire balancer and didn’t realize it was 3 phase. Told him we have to convert it to single phase. Installed this inside tire balancer to get three phase from his single phase supply. Works great!
