Built with seam-sealed waterproofing and vulcanized rubber, these nylon boots are a favorite for everything from relaxing après ski to blazing a trail through the snow. Even as temps drop, the removable felt inner boot delivers warmth down to -40°F/-40°C. Sorel's cold weather footwear is ideal for those participating in active winter sports like snowmobiling or sledding, or for activities where maximum protection is required -- like all-season hunting or fishing, or simply going to work.

Really Nice, wide, Size suggestion: get your normal size.
****UPDATE*****The next morning I put these on and again I had a little discomfort in the size.. I couldn’t tell if it was just me or if they were too small, I since got a half size larger, 10.5 US. My normal size. Like the way they feel. Will be returning the size 10.Still really like the boots. I think wear the disconect on sizing is is that the boots are wide, which for me is great, but for people with narrower feet they may seem a size too big.. I will leave the original post as is. See below ****My footwear sizing for reference:- Nike tennis shoes 10.5 US- KEEN steel toe work boots 10.5 US- Ariat square toe boots 10.5 USThese Boots:-Sorel Men’s 1964 Snow boots 10 USAt first they felt to small with just below the ankle athletic socks but wearing them and walking in them for 20-30mins helped break them in a bit. With the bottom portion being the rubber they relax more once the rubber gets to flexing a bit. I then put on thinker/warmer socks and they felt perfect.Very comfortable and very warm. The soles have good tracking and gripFur is not all through out the interior of boot, just and the top portion that you can see.Really like them so far (2 hours).

would not recommended for work
I would not recommended this Sorel boots if you are a person who needs to work in an extreme environment as a freezer where temperatures will go down to -20 F. The boot it's rated to - 40F. But after two hours of wearing it your foot starts to freeze due the moisture on your feet cause by sweating due the boot it's made out of rubber and have not ventilation at all, every day I lose an hour of productive day at work just for being in the hand dryer dying the boot, the liners and socks. This boot is 200 gr of insulation I will recommend 400 or 600 grams of insulation. This boots are good to walk on snow or a child rainy day but not for anything else.

Beautifully made - comfortable on my feet
I am a woman with long, wide feet. I wear a men's 10 or 10.5 in Altra zero drop athletic shoes and wanted a pair of deep winter cold-proof, waterproof boots on clearance. These just arrived. I deliberately ordered size 11, thinking that with the thick liner - which must be 1/4" thick and is all one piece, under foot and around the leg (not a removable easy-to-pop-out insole or footbed), I would need an 11. I could have gone with 10.5 because they are cut large or true-to-size. But have them a little too big means I can wear them with super-thick merino boot socks (I wear Terramar men's), and I wanted to add an insole under each foot, which I put inside the thick liner under each foot. That snugged up the boots enough for me to have good control. I do have to get used to wearing a thicker, heavier boot, since I am used to my old Vivobarefoot Off Road Mid, which are much shorter than these and are a very lightweight hiking boot. So I was dragging or scuffing them on the walking trail next to the house at first. But toward the end of my walk I was picking up my feet more and getting used to these. They weight about 2.2 lbs per boot. My husband has a pair of Kamiks that are not as well-made, and he did the same thing when he first wore them - tended to scuff them on the asphalt walking trail - since they are heavier than he was used to. These are perfect for snow, slush, mud, and the creek flooding over the walking trail in several inches of water. And they were a bargain. My size and color I wanted were on sale for $79.95, and then I had over $50 in Amazon Rewards points to apply and used my Amazon card to use mostly rewards points to pay for them. I think I paid around $31 or $33 dollars out of pocket, in addition to the points, which I put on my Amazon charge card so I can get rewards points toward a future purchase.

i'm very pleased with these boots
i'm very pleased with these boots. i suffered through an awful new york city winter last year with insufficient footwear and was constantly wanting to pull the trigger on a pair of boots like this. i bought them just before the first bit of inclement weather this year and i'm really glad i did. keeping my feet dry on just one messy day made them completely worth it. you can slosh through puddles and not worry about water getting through unless it reaches the top oft he nylon tongue/boot.it was between these and the caribou model but i liked the color and style of the 1964 pac nylon a little better. my girlfriend bought a pair of the caribous and here's what i've noticed. the treads on the 1964s aren't very burly. they're thin and don't offer a ton of padding but they're still comfortable. i don't plan on hiking everest in them so they'll suffice. the caribous have a meatier tread with more thickness and bite but since they're leather, the caribous are noticeably heavier even though hers are a smaller size. both of them are toastie warm and comfortable though. both models are rated to negative 40 but don't forget to invest in some good moisture wicking wool socks or your piggies are going to sweat and they will get cold no matter what boots your wearing.a quick note about the sizing. i wear a size 12 in just about any kind of footwear but sorel's 12s are a bit big on me. i fit very nicely into an 11 of the caribou model at the store and ordered the 11 for the 1964s. that makes for a nice fit. a guy at the store said that sorel's sizing is notoriously inconsistent so it might help to try some on at a store if possible so you can avoid any returns or sizing problems.

Fake photos - beware!
Disgusting! The photos are of the genuine Caribou. For someone who hasn't bought Sorel before I assumed they were one in the same, but the pictures of this product are of the Caribou when in fact the 1964 Pac may as well be a knock off. The quality is terrible.Wasn't sure on size so got 2 pairs. One was a real Caribou and it's like getting a Ferrari and a Reliant Robin when both we advertised with the same photos. Amazon, pick up your quality control. Starting to lose interest in helping you take over the world!

Not "just" for posing in
I bought these for two reasons; 1, I wanted a waterproof wellington-type boot for muddy and snowy winter walks, and 2, I thought they look quite nice.On the first point, they feel tight with the first wear but that's down to the thick felt inner-sock. After a couple of wears they will now accomodate a medium sock easily. Sizing in my view is therefore spot-on, but expect them to be tight at first.Other plus points - build quality is beautiful. They look and feel very high quality. They are 100% waterproof and very warm. I expect that unless I cut or tear these, they will last very well. Easy to hose off and clean.Negatives - They are a wide fit, particularly at the heel but that's the design. Not uncomfortable for walking any distance but they are not a walking boot - don't buy as if expecting a walking boot. They are a snow/mud boot. The sole feels quite thin, again I am comparing to a walking boot. I have walked some distance now in mine and I actually quite like being able to feel the terrain more. Feels quite natural. But I would prefer a slightly thicker sole. All in all, I like them but they will be more for wet days and snow rather than major hikes. And yes, they do look pretty smart too.Pleased I got them at a good discount on Amazon.

Warm, waterproof boots for the wet, snowy and muddy ground.
Waterproof, comfortable boots for winter. These boots have a removable and washable felt lining which keep your feet really warm, even when walking in deep snow. The liners come completely out of the boots with a light pull at the top- they are so good at keeping your feet warm that I have even been know to wear them as slippers when it’s cold in the house. The boots have a rubber base part and a waterproof, close weave nylon top part, they come up above your ankle by a few inches. The tongue is attached at the sides so as to make sure that there is no inlet for water.Trousers can sit on the top of the boots to keep them clear of water and they won’t look stupid, in dryer areas trousers can cover the boot top to make them look like shoes. The lacing system is a large loop design, it’s quick to fasten and unfasten, however, the laces are quite slippy and are prone to coming undone so I would advise double bowing them.Sizing wise, if you are between sizes go for the larger size - if you’re a 91/2 but some 9’s fit go for a 10. I found the boots fit me true to size, I normally wear a 9 and the 9 fits fine with no breaking in required, I wore normal socks rather than thick ones as the felt liner deals with the cold and padding out the boot, so thick walking socks simply aren’t needed under this. The sole is rubber and has an ok grip, not as good as walking boots but better than cheap wellies.I would happily recommend these boots.

Perfect for raynauds sufferers
I have wanted a pair of these boots for ages. The mens ones were a better offer on Black Friday so they are the ones I opted for. When I first put them on they felt a bit too snug across the top of my foot but they are fine now. I probably could have gone down a size (I am a half size so it's always gamble what way shoes will go but generally 6 is the size that fits me best) but that does mean I could wear thicker socks if needed. That being said they are still perfectly comfortable when wearing just tights and don't run anywhere at all.My feet feel so snug in these and definitely better than wellies for winter. Perfect for dog walking and exploring the country park. I can now still feel my toes at the end of a walk which is amazing as I have raynauds. And if we ever get snow I can tell these will be perfect.

So far, so very good
I ordered these to go on an Arctic cruise, which will be the real test. In the meantime, I have been wearing them out walking to "break them in" and so far, so very good.I have size 12 feet, wider than average and I ordered a size 13 to accommodate thick socks, such as these: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0184H8VCY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1or these: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000P8D40A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The fit is good and the felt inner boot seems to mould to fit your foot over a few wears and they have been comfortable walking on footpaths etc for an hour or two at a time. (I can't say what they would be like over a longer period as I haven't tried that). The weather in the UK over the last few weeks has been pretty mild for the time of year so I haven't really tested the warmth of the boot, they give every impression of being warm, especially with the right socks worn underneath. The size 13 would have been too large with "normal" cotton socks but I think that if you are wearing "normal" cotton socks you probably aren't in an environment where these boots are necessary. The soles are quite thick and, with the frost plugs (ridges on the sole), you should get a reasonable distance between your foot and any frozen ice or snow underfoot. The true test will come in the Arctic in a few weeks time!
