Power Acoustik PCX-5F 5-Farad Capacitor

Easy to install and I would recommend that if you have never installed one ask for assistance from someone who has, as it can get dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. However it hold plenty of power to keep you in that sound mode you expect.

One the best capacitors available on the market at reasonable price! Replaced my old 1- Farad capacitor after Big 3 upgrade completed! Love the running LED and digital display! Bass quality immediately improved! Highly recommended! Grab it before it's gone!Evaluated via my old car audio system previously custom installed on my pickup including Alpine CDA-7995 head unit, Rockford Fosgate mono block, Alpine 4 channels amp, MB Quart components speakers and JL Audio 2X10 ported subwoofer...etc, all powered by high output alternator, Optima Yellow battery with 0 gauge charging wire, 0 gauge ground wires and 4 gauge power wires!

The Power Acoustik PCX-5F 5-Farad Capacitor looks good, is well made, and serves it purpose of supplying a steady voltage to your amp. Mine with the truck running & no load holds steady at 15v and under heavy current load under those really Low bass notes only drops to 14.5v but I'm sure that it is not a "True" 5 Farad Cap. At this price tho it is a good deal if you need a cap, I added a XS Power D680 AGM Power Cel to my system right before the cap and there was a very noticeable difference in my system.

Mine worked pretty nice for about 2 or 3 days then quit working... I have a 4000w @1ohm Hifonics (Monoblock) pushing a Sundown Audio Zv5 12 wired to 1ohm. I figured 5 farads would be sufficient...

Even though 5 farad is rated for up to 5000 watts I use this cap for a 2000 watt amp. Still there is absolutely no headlight dimming or throttle response issues. I used to have a cap with no digital display and checking operating voltages was a PITA, the display on this unit is worth every penny because I can see what the amp is drawing and the bass kicks with no lag becasue the capacitor has enough energy to never need to overdraw from the battery.

I Purchased This Capacitor About Two Years Ago.Power Acoustik Made A Great First Impression.I've Got A 1000w Sony Xplode Hooked Up To This CapacitorAlong With Two Kicker Comp 10in Subs And It Sounds Great.It Made A Huge Difference In My Neon's Power Level. No More Dimming Headlights.And My Amp Doesn't Cut Out Anymore Either.Well Worth The Investment If You're Serious About Your Car Audio!

Was easy to install. Came with instructions that tell you every step to install charge and use. Also tells you how to discharge before you want to connect. I can definitely tell that my amp gets more steady max power cause every bass hit and hard bass lines come strong and stay strong through out the whole cd. Good for pushing your system to the limit.

While it claims it's a 5 farad, and rule says 1 farad per 1000w RMS.....so this claimed 5 farad should support max of 5000w RMS.....well I'm running the PA RZR1-2500D (2 OF THESE ONE PER SUB) and the PA GOTHIC 12" SUB (2, with one amp on ea) the RZR1-2500D manual specs says at 2ohm load, the RZR1-2500D is pushing 750w RMS, which means my system is 1500w RMS total, so technically, a 2 farad cap would/should be good.......so why with this claimed 5 farad, do my lights still dim ever bass hit unless I reduce sub level to half power......oh, that's right, BECAUSE THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A 5 FARAD CAP, false claims made in marketing is same as stealing, so who is the thief, PA or seller of product here on amazon????*********UPDATE****************As of 05/22/2019, I am and have been since submitting this review, however failed to clarify, so now I will..... I have 2 of the RZR-2500D amplifiers each with a single 12" subwoofer, and EACH AMPLIFIER ALSO HAS ITS OWN INDIVIDUAL 2GA POWER WIRE, AS WELL AS EACH AMP HAS ONE OF THESE SO CALLED 5 FARAD CAPACITORS ON THE 2GA POWER WIRE FROM BATTERY,PRIOR TO THE AMPLIFIER OF COURSE......AND WOULDNT YOU KNOW, WITH A OPTIMA YELLOW TOP UPGRADED BATTERY, UPGRADED BIG 3 USING 2/0 WIRING, INDIVIDUAL 2GA POWER SUPPLY AND 5 FARAD CAP PER 750W RMS AMPLIFIER, COMPLETE AND SPOT WELDED VERIFIED SECURE GROUND.......YEP, LIGHTS STILL DIM, SO IF YOU NEED A STIFFENING CAPACITOR FOR YOUR SYSTEM, DEFINETLY GET ANYTHING EXCEPT ONE OF THESE, CAUSE ASIDE FROM BEING A DIGITAL DISPLAY POWER METER TYPE DISTRIBUTION BLOCK, THESE THINGS ARE COMPLETE JOKE, AND WISH I COULD HAVE SPENT MY COUPLE HUNDRED ON ANYTHING, HECK KIDS COULDA PLAYED VIDEO GAMES AND BEEN MORE WORTH IT THAN THESE JOKES ARE!

heyy every1 i orderd this a week ago from NOW!.....took about 7-8 business days to come BUT!.....it was intact package solid and my PA CPT1-2000 AMP was also in the box.....i hoooked everything up my brand new 122x mofo PA 12inch subwoofer with this CAP N THE AMP and they are AMAZING.....the cap performs excellent!! with 1 of these subwoofers n its rated 2700watts n 1500RMS......cap is amamzing for this n the amp....PERIOD!! worth every penny for this cap n its nice to with led lighting in the viewing window n not cheaply made....SOLID....i'd deffently RECOMMEND THIS PRODOCT TO ANY1 RUNNING AT LEAST 2500watts and least 1300RMS POWER RMS IS MOST IMPORTENT.....this will take it make sure u have a 850 AMP BATTERY n amp at least......and the am is of your choice around that range but make sure its TRUE CAUSE MINE IS!! Good solid capacitor.Install was easy and went well.Caution on using the resistor to start first time charge up this little guy gets extremely hot.
