Before I bought this cable I was tethered to my computer with no way to get up and move around without first taking off my headset. Now, I can go and sit on the couch behind me and still watch streaming video on my computer with no degradation of sound quality.However, I have noticed that the cable does introduce interference into the microphone. I've noticed that the people I'm talking to can hear the audio on my computer (I was listening to music at the time). I thought it might just be my microphone picking up the audio from the headset itself because I had it up too loud. I then unplugged the headset from the extension, but the other party could still hear my music. Once I unplugged the extension, they could no longer hear the music. On communication applications that have the settings for it (TeamSpeak, in my case), turning down the microphone gain stopped the music from being played for everyone.Overall, the cable works well for listening, but is lacking in communications.

Excellent product, works well when you need to interview someone and they are standing more tan 3 feet away from you. There is no difference in the sound quality when using the extension or not using the extension meaning that it sounds great. You will still need a microphone though as this is only an extension. It's just that most lavaliere microphones only come with a 6 foot cord which is not long enough to really use for an interview.When traveling with this extension it is helpful if you have something to wrap it with as the 20 foot cord can easily get tangled up.

I may have misread the description of this product as I thought it was an extension cable for 3.55 headphones with a microphone. The cable does have that at the male end of the cord; however, the female end does not fit any of my headsets that have a mic.The female end is too shallow. You can plug regular ear buds that don't have the third ring on their 3.5mm male plug.Before you buy this, be aware of exactly what you're getting.

Appears to be a quality product at a reasonable price. Is as described and works as advertised. I have used it several times already to listen to a TV using head phones.

This extension cord causes a great deal of feedback. You will not be able to use it if you're recording videos because of the extremely loud feedback.

First cable received did not work properly as sound kept cutting out. Using Xbox headset with laptop headphone jack for conference calls at work. Contacted Eric at Nature Tech and got immediate response seeking to make it right. Expedited another cable which I received the next day and it works great. That is great service, particularly for a sub-$10 item. The female end does seem shallow as other reviewers have mentioned but does not impact my performance at this time.

Worked well with the Purple Panda Lavalier mic' unit that had some 14ft cabling and sound was well recorded over total 34ft. Handy to have if you need subject to walk away from camera.

It seems that this additional cable often causes interference in the sound that's recorded from my lapel mike.. Buzzing. It may be something I'm doing wrong, but I'm no longer using it.
