uniball™ Spectrum Retractable Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), Black Ink, 5 Pack

I got scammed by a check washer last year. I wrote a check to pay for my fire alarm permit for about $90. Someone grabbed it, even though I mailed it inside my post office, washed the check completely and rewrote one for $13k. Luckily my bank made good and covered the loss, but the aggravation of canceling the account and notifying every company and subscription that I had automatic regular withdrawals with was such a tremendous pain in the butt. I looked up fraud resistant ink and this pen was recommended. I rarely write checks at all but when I do I use this pen. So far so good..

I am a pen freak and Uniball is my go to brand . And once again they have impressed me . Dark black ink . Nice smooth lines with no skipping. And they feel good in my hand.

I'm extremely picky about pens. I'm left-handed, so I need to make sure that the ink doesn't smear, but I also want dark ink so I don't have to press very hard and tire my hand out. Far too many gel pens are thin and cramp my hand. This Uniball is the perfect thickness and it writes so smoothly. I've used it for long writing sessions. I also like that the Uniball doesn't have this garish design that so many pens have been getting these days (looking at you, Energel). It's just a plain black body that doesn't stand out and yet when you look at it up close, it's sharp and clean-looking. The pen sometimes still smears, which is why I would probably give it 4.5 if that were an option, but the value, the comfort, and the look make up for that.

The pen writes very well and it’s good to know that the ink can’t be tampered with. It’s now my favorite pen!!

These pens are malfunctioning. The ink appears to be dried up . Had to purchase more pens

They are a good pen, The main reason was the stop fraud option. However, I would buy these without the fact that they are supposed to help stop fraud on documents. The ink doesn’t wash off it is said.

I'm a pen snob. I admit my go-to pens are Cross and Mont-Blanc. These... hold their own against both. If you don't want to spend that money... get these. You won't be upset!
