NVIDIA SHIELD TV Stand

Some people wonder why you need a device such as this. I was one of those people.When you start to accumulate a crap load of stuff like: modem, router, cable box, TV boxes, wires, etc. etc. you start to want some order.It seems like after a while everything is just everywhere.I was trying to prop my Nvidia shield up alongside of my Orbi router and it just was not working.So I hop on good old Amazon and lo and behold look what I find.Despite the fact I spent 1999, I am very happy with the item, and it works well, and it does what it is supposed to do.Keeps my Nvidia shield upright and in tiptop shape.Thank you for this hunk of plastic that does it’s job.

I was totally expecting this to be a rough like plastic that would scratch the device. It's not at all. The whole stand has a rubber like coating on it, even the inside where the shield sits. I was expecting to get it and write a review saying that the inside should be felt or micro fiber, but this coating that was used should do just fine. Better product all around than expected.

It is hard to argue the value of this stand as the Nvidia Shield TV works just fine without it. However, I am glad I picked it up as the Shield looks fantastic in the stand and it takes up very little space vertically. This stand is for the smaller 2017 and 2019 versions of the Shield. It is different from the stand for the larger 2015 version. The older stand was made of metal and had a sticky bottom surface I did not care for. This stand feels like a rugged plastic and has a rubber bottom to prevent slipping. It is heavy enough to prevent the Shield from tipping over. Is it a must have? No. However, if you have the Shield as the centerpiece of your home theater, this stand is a really nice addition. It makes the Shield look elegant and helps it stand out from the other electronics.

It's study and looks nice. A bit expensive for a piece of hard rubber though. If your down to your last dollars save them. If you have disposable income go for it.Just think how much more goes into a camera or a pair of headphones. Well you can get either for the price of this rubber stand. They won't be good but still. They have to be making like 800 percent profit on this.

After spending $200 for the Nvidia Shield TV, I was experiencing some issues with it getting a little hot. I am so happy I bought this stand because now the vent holes are not sitting against a surface and it stays cool. Working much better. This stand dove-tails perfectly with the side of the device, making it very secure. Happy with purchase; bought another for my other NVTV.

If you have a pre-2017 model or a "Pro" version, this isn't the stand you want. There is another SKU available which will sort you out.Overpriced for what it is - twenty bucks for this? - but it sure looks great, and fits the Shield nice and snug. If you want to save some shelf space, this is what you need.

Yes, it's sturdy. Yes, it grips the surface it's on very well, and yes, it holds your SHIELD TV perfectly... but man, is it expensive considering it's just a weighted hunk of plastic with a grippy bottom. Seriously, NVIDIA should include this in the box with every SHIELD TV instead of asking for another twenty or thirty bucks (depending where you get it).I'm glad I got it, but I still feel a tiny bit dissatisfied with the value for my dollar on this one. Basically, if you have the money to spare, it's a worthwhile addition to your SHIELD TV (provided you want to stand it up), but my advice is to shop around and spend as little as possible. It's just nothing amazing that warrants being near thirty bucks, and if ever there was a time for you to bargain-hunt, this would be it.

I never wanted or planned on having my Nvidia Shield laying down. This stand absolutely helps me in not just maintaining my nvidia shield standing up but also so it won't overheat. Like I've mentioned in my previous reviews, I tend to take real good care of my things. Thank you for such an awesome stand. I will recommend to friends and family
