Not 10 quart capacity
This is very nice but it is only 8 quarts. It states that it is 10 quarts on the Amazon website & on the packing box, model #33195. We measured the capacity and when filled with 8 quarts of water, the water level was at the maximum fill line. Adding the 9th quart of water caused it to almost spill over the top. It is also advertised as a 10 quart model on the Hamilton Beach website and there is another 10-quart model advertised on the Hamilton Beach website Model # 33191. I'm reluctant to order the #33191 as it may not have a 10 quart capacity either

Need to talk to seller!
I was sick for a few weeks after I got it, then a few days ago used it for the first time, but thinking it is a fire hazard! It has 3 settings, High, Low and Warm, and the liquid boils on every setting, even if it is set to Warm! Something is very wrong, and I see that the deadline to return it has passed on March 12. I would not recommend this product until the seller can explain what is wrong with it!

Not As Advertised
Please be aware that the actual size per hand measurement is 8 quarts/liters. The Amazon ad says 10, the box says 9, 9.5 & 10 (all three depending on what side of the box you are looking at) and hand measurement is 8. I found the same thing with a Paderno crock pot I purchased within the past month but sent back because of this very thing. My old "Crock Pot" brand was a true 6 quart but finally died after 20 years of use. I am keeping this one as it is larger then my old one and will work for me. I guess this is what the manufacturers are doing these days.UPDATE (March 27th): Cooked my first item (3lbs of beef ribs). Put them in at 11:30 on "low" thinking they would take approximately 6-8 hours. By 3 they were done and on the edge of over done. So the temperature on "low" is much warmer than expected. I would not put something in and leave it unattended for more than 3 hours. Seems that gone are the days when one could put something in the slow cooker in the morning before work and feel safe letting it cook for the day until getting home after work. Also there is no steam hole so you have to allow space for liquid to boil without boiling over the top. This model is bigger than what I had but not better. Buyer beware.

WARNING...... Boils Everything
This would be a great pot except it cooks extremely high. It brings everybody to a rolling boil on every setting. Tonight was the last straw for me, I'm tossing it. The setting was on Low and it burnt the bottom ingredients.I'd be afraid to leave it cook all day while I am at work. Who knows if this extremely high temperature is a fire hazard. IMO this item should be recalled.
