... trying to find a decent cheap-ish Android phone with good specs I ended up buying this last year
After spending ages trying to find a decent cheap-ish Android phone with good specs I ended up buying this last year. At the time, you could only get it from this seller on Amazon or eBay (it’s widely available these days), so it felt more of a risk. Over a year on and it’s still going strong. It’s not perfect and there are a few things that are slightly disappointing, but for the price, it’s a great phone.Pros:- looks- good specs for the price- size (I didn’t want a massive phone and find this big enough)- weight (light enough)- not too much bloatware- if you install the Google Now launcher it is close to being stock Android, which was one of the main selling points for me- at the time, it was one of the only phones with Lollipop. Obviously at this point that’s not relevant.Cons:- the camera isn’t great despite the specs, especially in poor lightning. It even looks bad when it’s not extremely light but still bright enough.- despite the capacity, it keeps giving a “not enough space” warning when trying to update apps (I’ve got the bare minimum installed). This is usually fixed by clearing the cache for most apps and re-starting the phone, but it is a bit of a pain to have to do it often.- the video quality isn’t great and the auto-focus and lightning make the videos come in and out of focus and have some sort of “disco light” effect, which is annoying when filming in non-natural light.- the front camera isn’t great, but for someone like me who wants it mainly for cat pictures instead of selfies that’s not a big deal.- the sound isn’t great but, again, unless you plan on blasting out music on the bus and annoy everyone that’s not a massive problem- due to it not being as popular and widely available as the usual suspects (Samsung, LG, etc), there isn’t a great variety of cases and accessories. When I first got it only two sellers on the Internet had custom cases for it. These days, it’s a bit better, but the options are still limited.I haven’ t had to send it back so I can’t comment on guarantee or customer service, but it’s an ok phone for the price, especially comparing the specs to an equivalent popular branded phone.

Absolutely crap of a phone
Absolutely crap of a phone. It is programmed to self destruct (by the way, the seller has gone underground). ZTE has programmable devices called BIOS updates, which are amateur toolkits produced by piss-artists rather than professionals. Support is programmed robots, programmed to be very unhelpful (repeat "contact the seller"). Good bye ZTE

I've had this phone for just over a year and was really happy with it until I recently dropped it and broke the screen (obviously, not the phone's fault !) I bought a kit to repair the screen, and altough that went well now the microphone no longer works. This is a really good phone though but maybe a bit too fragile.

Great value phone
Great phone, easy setup and fully featured. Very fast processor. Does everything the latest brands can do for a third of the price. Good camera, battery life exceeds anything from Sony or Samsung. GPS fast and accurate. Good, clear screen. Gets hot when linked via Bluetooth, but don't they all.
