Q: What is the goal and how do you know when you have finished?

Thank you for your question, The goal is to get the ball through all 6 sides of the maze without falling into the obstacle holes on the way. You know that you have finished when the ball falls into a small hole on the 6th side & it doesn't have anywhere else to go.

Q: Are they different mazes?

No, they are not. Just 3 cube mazes that are the exact same maze but different colors. Good for gifts for 3 different people, or if you want to keep one at three different locations (home, office, etc), but of no use to have 3 the same otherwise. I thought they were progressively more difficult, but nope– all. the. same.

Q: Does the ball go into the interior of the maze, or just stay in the outermost layer?

It does go into and through the other layers of the cube. Adds to the challenge.
