Can the camera be oriented vertically instead of horizontally?

Accepted Answer

You could mount it vertically but the backup warning lines would have to be turned OFF as the would no longer be valid.  Also, the camera lens adjustments would change from vertical to horizontal.  I would NOT recommend a vertical mount as this camera was not designed to be vertical.

Question 2

can i use this as a blind spot camera when i need to switch lanes on the road? is there a feature that will allow it to stay on at all times ?

There is no way to have it stay on all the time. And if there were. It wouldn't last more than a few hours before the batteries died. But the camera is really wide. I almost think that if you HAD to, you could use the camera to replace the side mirrors (as long as u can look out the side windows for cars that are along side you

Question 3

I have 1 inch space above my license plate. Will the camera fit in that space? I have zero space below the license plate.

Accepted Answer

It should still work out for you. The bracket mounts behind the license plate and fits flush with the top of it. The camera rests at the top 1 inch portion of the plate. If you use the adhesive strip you can place the camera in a location that is more convenient for your use.

Question 4

Is it possible to set this up so the camera is on 100% of the time?  i want to put this on an rv that i can’t see what’s behind me all the time.

With the cameras that use solar power or rechargeable battery, I don't think you can have it on continuously 100% of the time because otherwise, it'll drain the power in no time! It's only possible if you hard wire it to a power source from the car
