Q: Are there holes on the bottom of the outer pot

There are no holes in the outer pot. The inner pot is about an inch shorter than the outer pot. Put about 3/4" of water in outer pot. The string hanging out of the inner pot takes water from the outer pot to water your plant. These pots are especially great for African Violets and other plants that thrive in evenly moist soil.

Q: How can it get air flow if the inner and outer pots lock together?

There are holes in both the inner and outer pot and they sit on the little saucer. They do not really lock together…just appear to. Mine do well!

Q: How big is the inner pot? 5 inches?

The one I have is 4 in. It’s used with a miniature orchid. I think can get bigger as a unit. I love it for small things

Q: Is anyone having a problem with their roots growing through these little slit on the side and at the bottom?

I am using these pots for miniature orchids and have no problem with roots growing through the slits on the sides or the bottom.
