Very programmable and easy to use
This esc has quite a few programming options, but my favorite thing about it is active drag brake, which actually actively stops the vehicle. You can let off the throttle while on a hill and the truck will stay planted where it's at. It's difficult to even push the truck because the esc is actively trying to lock up the motor. It maintains speed while downhilling better than any eac I've ever used. It is a very impressive feature. A couple of other neat features include programmable start up sounds, bec voltage control up to 7.4v, and throttle and brake curve settings. Programming is easy and you can connect to the truck anytime you're running it after the initial setup. Make a few changes, send to the esc, and back out of the menu, and the esc re-initializes and works fine. I've had no issues programming at all. This is a really great esc.

Glitchy, buggy waste of money. Stick with a hw1080
Maybe they'll get it worked out and flawless in the future but as it is right now, this esc is complete garbage.Yeah, it has a bunch of parameter settings. . IF the app will let you set them. But, usually it will either "fail", "timeout", or once every 100 tries you may get a "success" but it doesn't actually change the settings you just set. Then, After an hr and a half of trying and updating the firmware, restoring to factory, re updating the firmware, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, re updating the firmware, trying to set parameters, exiting out of the app, shutting the car off, redoing it all 10 more times, you MIGHT finally be able to get parameters all set to your liking and then suddenly, the entire car starts glitching out on you. Servo goijg crazy, motor going forward and reverse, tons of noise etc. then you reset back to factory again. Re update the firmware again. But if you change even one parameter setting, it starts glitching out again..I was finally able to change just one parameter. Start force. When i do. If i go full throttle forwards and then try to reverse, it will lurch forward hard before slamming back into reverse. And likewise the other way around. If you leave it completely factory set, its..............okay. But then whats the point of having a programmable esc?I'll be sticking with the tried and true, virtually flawless, user friendly hw1080 qr.I'll throw this paper weight in the box until they get it right. Can't promise i'd even attempt to use this junk again.Oh, and good luck calibrating your transmitter..... that took about 25 tries before it finally accepted it..Absolute garbage as is. And they claim to have "fixed all the issues". Lmao. Far from it.

Give it a shot! Updates have made an improvement.
I almost returned this after reading the reviews but decided to give it a shot. I think ISDT is working hard to make this esc viable. After connecting it for the first time it went through a series of firmware updates. After the updates I have had NONE of the issues previous reviewers mentioned. The setup was smooth and all my settings have saved without errors. The modulation and slow speed crawl this esc is capable of are amazing for the price. It’s hard not to give it a shot for the price.

Great esc.
I don’t know why some people have issues with this esc, I’m not sure what they except for $25. The esc performs as expected. I powered it up, my phone found it on Bluetooth, it did an update, I set the throttle endpoints with my phone, and it worked flawlessly. I used a 2s pack and it showed 2s on my phone. I used a 3s pack and it showed 3s on my phone. A nice esc that has Bluetooth and telemetry for $25 is amazing.

Good ESC with a lot of quirks
I really wanted to like this ESC. I actually am still running it in my truck. That being said, it has a lot of weird issues. The throttle in normal driving mode does this weird thing where the ESC will try to slow the car down to whatever throttle position your radio is at, instead of just coasting. The slow crawling performance is amazing though, and the ability to adjust the PWM frequency to quiet down your motor is awesome for crawling in areas where noise can be an issue.Bluetooth connectivity works OK. The app settings are inconsistent, and don't always seem to work, but it works OK.Overall I would probably go with a Hobbywing ESC if I had to do it again.

Not perfect yet, but it works and ISDT support is helpful
Install was easy, just a little soldering. ISDT GO APP couldn't handle the firmware update on Android. Contacted ISDT and got a few responses. They updated the GO APP for Android and I was able to complete the firmware update and go through the rest of the setup. Not perfect yet, but they are working to fix the issues. Looking forward to getting this crawler back on the trail and seeing how it does.

I'm excited to use this in my 1/16th WPL Land Cruiser!
Took a few hours to figure out how to calibrate the motor to the ESC. While red light is flashing, pull throttle trigger until it beeps, push throttle trigger until it beeps.Bluetooth pairing difficulties, open ISD GO app in store and update. Initial download installation is older version for older versions of the ESC.
