Brought my Stihl SH55 leaf blower back to life
I got this because my leaf blower didn't want to start. It's had the same spark plug and carb for the last 8 years. I decided to get this and installed the new carb with supplied gaskets. The green gas hose line was a little off in length, it wasn't the same. However, It probably still would of worked but I decided to keep using the old one. I did replace the supplied fuel filter though. Popped in the new sparked plug and pumped the gas bubble about 8 times and it was ready to go. Took about 8 cranks or so and it started! I'm really surprised how easy everything went in and worked so well.

Good quality carburetor.
Installed on my Stihl BG85C leaf blower, only problem is the filter that comes with it is just a little too large to fit, I just used the Stihl original filter in place of the one that was sent. ( if you order this kit for the size BG85C blower just beware of the filter size.)

Kit works well, but no instructions included
Let me start by saying that my Stihl BG65 blower is now running as good as ever with the new carb, fuel filter, spark plug and air filter provided in this kit. Also nice to have extra air and fuel filters for future replacement. Now let me add my warning: This kit comes with no instructions. Zero. So unless you already know what you're doing (I didn't) or willing and able to view YouTube videos and other on-line tutorial information to assist you in learning how to disassemble, reassemble and make adjustments (I did) then you don't want to attempt this. But if you can do this yourself, you'll save yourself a whole bunch of money compared with taking it to a repair shop.

My husband prefers Hipa products over other brands. Product was perfect for the job.

Good for a two week fix
Worked fine for about 2 weeks. After that hard stating, erratic running, die at idle. No adjustments fixed the issue. Back to an OEM carb and problem solved

Blower is back to easy start, smooth running
My blower had gone from touchy to start to not starting. I was pretty sure it was a fuel flow issue. My neighbor gave me a spare fuel filter and that didn't help. Picked this reasonably priced carb up as a 'what the heck' move. Installed fine and took very little tweaking to smooth out the running. The air filter fit fine too.Watch where the fuel lines connect when you take the old one off. I didn't and it wasn't easy to find a picture or schema to confirm. I figured it out, but was a bonehead move to not have taken my own picture first.Moderate handyman, car work skills is all I have and all I took to get it there. I am not a small gas engine expert at all.
