We had one exactly like this, but smaller. This is not a small grater. It is a great grater. A great, great, grater if you will. Cuts the cheese superbly. Would give it 6 stars because it always seems to fit perfectly in an unused spot in a dirty dishwasher. I still can't figure out how it knows.

Our previous grater was nice but it had a habit of one of the plastic sides breaking after too many times in the washer. My wife found this one and decided to give it a try.The slim design is nice and depth wise it was close to the old grater when it was closed. I think height was similar so there wasn't a need for adjustments from where it is stored.The grip is good. The metal? Well? It's not high quality but that was expected due to the cost. I should mention that it's rather sharp so do check it and be careful.About the only thing that could be faulted is the slim design. If stuff get's lodged up toward the grip, it is not a simple clean. It's probably dishwasher safe but I didn't verify it on the directions and won't put it in simply from previous experiences with the other graters.Other then that? We are liking this.

Like to compact design, but it is hard to clean the inside.

To narrow, cheese gets stuck.I gave it one star because I could not give it zero.

Awkward to hold and the opening is too narrow. The cheese gets stuck constantly.

this is a very good grater...i needed something small for our houseboat...this design stores easily in small drawers and yet is sturdy to use...not like the flat graters that bend and break...the handle is comfortable for stabilization...would purchase again...

Good product, could be a little bit heavier.
