AMAZING! BEST PERFORMANCE! IT'S A STEAL!
Pros: This processor is easily one of the best to overclock. I changed minimal settings and got HUGE gains. I'm running a P5Q-E board, 8gb ddr2-800 @ 5-5-5-18 with this chip on air cooling - Scythe Ninja 2. I'm running a multiplier of 9 against a 900mhz FSB Frequency. 3.6Ghz, ran Prime 95 for 6 hours, hit temps of 69C, under load on any game, I never hit above 61C. Running this in an Antec 300 case which is VERY efficient for cooling.Cons: Can't think of one. This thing runs very competitively against new chips. Worth every penny.Other Thoughts: I'm running a Q9550 in another rig with almost identical hardware and I can't get near the same increase in performance. My X3220 went from 2.4 - 3.6 without batting an eyelash. My Q9550 can only take me from 2.83 - 3.8 and is a little shaky. May ditch that chip for another one of these! Btw, it's the exact same chip as the Q6600 for anyone who didn't know, except for the temperature threshold, with X3220 having higher threshold - which is better.Specifications:Brand IntelSeries XeonModel BX80562X3220CPU Socket Type LGA 775Tech SpecCore KentsfieldMulti-Core Quad-CoreOperating Frequency 2.4GHzFSB 1066MHzL2 Cache 2 x 4MBManufacturing Tech 65 nm64 bit Support YesVirtualization Technology Support YesMultimedia Instruction MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, EM64TVoltage 1.100V-1.372VThermal Design Power 105WCooling Device Heatsink and Fan includedManufacturer WarrantyParts 3 years limitedLabor 3 years limited
