Love it. Very fluffy.

So I ordered two of the 3 packs (6 balls total made this throw) they were vacuumed sealed for shipping, but they fluffed up fine while I worked with them. I’m not a knitter or weaver or anything of the sort. when these arrived I actually had zero idea what to do, but one YouTube video + three hours later, I had the throw blanket being enjoyed by my dog in the photos. Like most things in life, the lovely women on the video advised me to do many things that I proceeded to ignore, like “keep count of the loops” and “make the size of the loops consistent” and “lay it on a flat surface” and she even showed a trick for tying the end of one ball of yarn to a new ball of yarn. I did none of that, because I’m lazy and impatient and like to make things “with love”. Did I entirely miss one of the loops on one pass? Yup! Did I unravel and go back for it? Nope! Just added it on my way back! Do the spots where I tied the end of one ball to the beginning of a new ball look insane up close? Yup! Will I fix it? Probably not. The point is, that if an unskilled insane person like myself, can randomly make something that looks this okayish from afar, in three hours, on the first try, you’re gonna be fine. Buy the yarn, make the blanket ‘with love’, or do better than me and listen to the advice from YouTube lady! The yarn is super soft and fluffy enough to cover any mistakes you might make anyway. Tada!

This yarn is awesome. I underestimated it's chunkiness and had to dig out an enormous crochet hook for it. I ended up using a size 15.75mm. I could envision this yarn making a wonderful blanket, but I decided to make an enormous snake plushie instead. The texture is fantastic! It took exactly 6 skeins of this yarn to make a 10 foot snake (8 single crochet stitches around in diameter). I haven't added the eyes yet because I'm debating on what I want to do. My step daughter is obsessed with this snake!! It's so much fun. So anyways, this yarn is great for jumbo size plushies/stuffies. Highly recommend. Just make sure you get a lot. You go through the skeins a lot faster than expected.

My review is a bit different from most that I read. I disagree that this was a great value for the money. I’ve had jumbo chunky yarns that were worth the money, and this one was simply not one of those. I ordered it in 2 colors: dark green and the black, gray and white one. The size was very thick and extremely soft. I used a huge crochet hook (size S) instead of using my hands. It was one of the most difficult yarns to work with because it was so fluffy. It also barely made a throw, which was not what I expected using 6 whole balls (3 of each color). I really wanted to love this yarn because I spent nearly $60 on it fora gift for someone who picked those colors. I wish I chose a yarn I was more familiar with, like bernat extra, since I know what I’m getting. All in all, though, I wasn’t too disappointed, because the person who received the little blanket I made, loves it, and uses it every night on the couch watching TV with his dogs (who also love the blanket and lay on it with him). Their yarn didn’t tangle, and it works up kinda well, but it’s not as smooth as other jumbo chunky yarns because of the fluffiness. I’m not sure that the size was as long as it was supposed to be, but it got the job done. Sorry the picture is blurry but it was sent to me by someone else and it’s the only picture I have of the finished throw blanket, so you can see the size approximately. Each small stripe in the blanket is an entire ball.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Good quality, same size but softer than Bernat Blanket Big. I only which it had more yards. I got the Yellow, color is lighter than the picture. The brown in the video is Bernat Blanket Big Yarn thickness: Same as Bernat Blanket Big

I’m giving this a 3 out of 5 stars. It was really affordable, and the yarn size, thickness, and ease of use was spot on. I loved the quality of the first yarn I got, but the two replacement yarns just weren’t right—both the colors and quality were a bit off (and I ordered from the same seller each time). Here’s the backstory: I make and sell chunky knit cardigans and blankets, and one of my customers is pretty picky about how she wants her items to look, which I totally understand. You can see the difference in the pics. I’ll be keeping the deeper purple yarn because I really like its quality and feel. I’m not sure if the first yarn ran out or something, but I had to return the other ones, unfortunately. :(

I am hand knitting a blanket for my grandson. He wanted a blanket, so when I was looking through YouTube, a blanket came up using this sort of yarn. This is my first time using it, and I am thrilled with it. It is so soft, so durable the color is awesome. Excellent product great customer service would buy from again.

Absolutely terrible yarn! Very disappointed with this yarn! It had a terrible chemical smell even after leaving it out for a few days, it breaks so easy!!!
