This 26 ft retractable dog leash has completely upgraded our walks! The heavy-duty nylon tape extends smoothly to give our pup plenty of freedom, perfect for exploring. The anti-slip rubberized handle fits comfortably in hand, and the one-handed brake/release mechanism works perfectly every time very intuitive and secure.

At first, I didn't like it. Swore to myself I was going to return it. The handle felt weird and kinds crushed my hand forward if my dog pulled. The grip could be grippier, it's made out of plastic with semi rubber for the grip.But, really, I just wasn't use to it. After using this a few times, I actually come to really like it and it's now my go-to for walks. I like that it stretches 27ft which is pretty long, and it does feel strong. I actually feel bad when I see other people walk their dog and the retractable leash doesnt go far—im like "that sucks". But the durability feels really good, especially when my dog pulls or chases a squirrel and catches me off guard. It doesnt feel like its going to break like the one i bought at Walmart. This one feels super durable. Their is a little weight to it but it's a heavy duty feeling type of weight. It doesn't feel cheap.I would recommend this product.Now to wonder. If they have one that is even longer than 26ft (and 26ft is already long!) 🤔🤗

I've never been a fan of retractable leashes, so this is my first one (we don't use it to walk or train but it is convenient for other purposes). I like that it isn't a thin cord, it is a good quality leash inside. So far it works well but the lock button does seem to get stuck sometimes (unless that is user error). Like all retractable leashes it is very awkward and uncomfortable to hold, but the plastic isn't sharp or anything so it is better than some I'd say.

Our older leash was fraying and needed replacement. This lease is longer and stronger, just what was needed.

There are two reasons for the 1-star rating. First, the leash won't retract after the second short walk with my 70lb Lab. Second, the description says it's heavy duty but my initial impression is that didn't feel "heavy duty". I don't think a retractable leash has to be heavy but this is very light compared to what it's replacing. I also don't like how they designed the brake button. It's awkward to use. It is much smaller than it's replacement and the unlock motion is not very smooth. This results in leaving a lot of slack while my dog is moving and it has extra leash to retract once it finally unlocks. This didn't cause a problem in the few times I used the lock, but it could have easily wound around my dog's legs. I unfortunately cannot just return it since it is defective. Amazon only provides the option of replacing it. I'll leave another review if I have a better experience. BTW Amazon, I shouldn't be forced to either except a replacement or just eat the cost of a defective product. That's a terrible policy! Maybe I will just buy my next retractable leash from a brick and mortar store where I would receive better customer service.

I have a 24-pound mix who is 11 years old. Today the leash stopped retracting. It didn't even last 9 months. It was great when it worked, but now it's an accident waiting to happen.

So far, this leash has held up WAYYYY longer than any other retractable leash I've purchased. We don't have a fenced in yard, so finding a long enough leash to grant my dog some freedom was super important. It is a great value for the money. Would purchase again!
