I am goving this 5 stars for a few reasons:1. Very tasty and fresh beef jerky. Even if it were not a bit warm and all I wanted was heat I think I would love it. Which brings me to..2. I was pleased with the heat. I am not 100% on their heat index and if I went by expectation of heat alone may not be 5 stars, but overall was quite spicey (at least a couple 100k SCU, maybe a weaker bhut..) But, burn lasts only 5-10 min instead for 25+ like a fresh pod, so I found myself finishing the bag between lunch and dinner..3. I liked the email comm. from Katie's. Was pleasant and gave that "we care" aspect.The only thing I will say is that it is priced a bit high for what came in it quantity-wise. However, due to the above I will pay it again sometime and justify as gourmet😁Happy snacking, hope this helps.

Hands down, the hottest beef jerky that tastes great! I can take the heat pretty well, and this takes it over the top. Finally a true spicy beef jerky! I can normally eat this size package in an hour, and this is taking me like a week to eat! One small piece at a time is enough. I’m having fun at the office seeing everyone run to get water after tasting this. I’ll be buying more after this runs out!

Great taste, the spice is nice. My only problem is the quantity to cost ratio, but the quality is excellent.

This was a gift to my boss so as to taste I have to rely on second hand information. My boss has a penchant for hot stuff so I was delighted to come across this beef jerky. I think he has gone through enough bottles of hot sauces already so this was something different. You won't get a mega bag of jerky but in this case a little goes a long way (I could tell as my boss was sharing some in the office). Those who tasted liked it and enjoyed the heat. This had enough kick for everyone without being so hot as to make it uneatable so I would say Katie's has found a nice balance in this product.

WOW!!!! searched just about every jerky on amazon and came down to these "half heat". They are awesome, not too dry, not too wet, perfect medium spicy, and you can chew them fairly easy. They come in a resealable bag also which is nice. They also threw in a sample pack of pineapple jerky! Thanks! Will order more in the future.

Since this is my second purchase, I will leave a review. These have arrived pretty fast on both occasions. I first tried one of the pre-packaged assortments and although there were some tasty bites among them, I was not quite as satisfied as when I selected my own assortment. Although I do enjoy spicy and even hot foods, my wife and 3 year-old-son do not actually like it hot...Some May Like it Hot, but not my pair of Wonder Wimps. In addition to the Seriously Spicy, I also ordered BBQ, Ginger, Half Heat, and Garlic Lovers. I enjoyed all of them. Although the Seriously Spicy appears to far from the hottest flavors offered at Katie's, I thought if they were much hotter it might overpower everything else that is going on flavor-wise. I heartily recommend these although they are a bit too pricy to replace my locally available jerky in the quantity I normally purchase.

Warning: if you don't like extremely hot spicy foods, this is NOT for you. I bought this with a bunch of other jerkys because I like jerky. But I am not big into hot foods. This is easily the hottest thing I've ever consumed, and it was gaggingly painful for a solid 15 minutes after eating a full piece.I gave this 5 stars because the meat is of high quality, not too much stringiness or excess fat. I know this is perfect for someone who actually appreciates heat (unlike me). I'm sure hotter jerky exists but I don't want to experience the nightmares that follow it, so this will end my journey to the top of the spice rack.

I got the variety pack. I really just wanted to see how hot they were. All tasted really good, but the seriously spicy was phenomenal.Seriously Spicy - taste - unbelievably good; heat - personally about 7Habanero Pepper'd - taste - good; heat - oddly seemed less hot than the seriously spicy - about a 4Ghost Pepper'd - taste - good; heat - seemed a little hotter than SS - 8Carolina Reaper - taste - ok; heat - hotter than GP - almost 10Scorpion - taste - good; heat - less of a reaction than CR - 9Scorpion XXX - taste - good; heat - 10The rest may have tasted better, but the bar was set quite high after the Seriously Spicy. They were are all very good. As far as heat goes, my expectations were higher for everything after Ghost Pepper'd. They were definitely hot, but I did not need to immediately get a drink. I just ordered their Ultimate Jerky Challenge.
