Good product. Great looking.
Great looking. Heavy steel. One person can assemble entire pit except for attaching the hood. Requires one person to hold hood while another aligns the holes and threads the bolts through the aligned holes. Also---the directions say to NOT tighten the bolts tight until all the pieces are togrther. They are not kidding. You will have to manipulate the pieces to get all the holes to align and can not do that in several cases if you tightened the bolts prematurely. This is especially true when you are attaching the hood to the hood support attached to the curved chimney support. When completed you need to determine if you still want a spark cover for the pit and a cover to keep the rain out of the pit bowl. There is a hole in the bottom at the bowl but that is there to insert the anchor. This is a great fire pit and the best looking one I have seen.

Assembly hints
Wanted something more contemporary than ceramic pot for patio fireplace. This is that.Packaging was pretty bad. Box was torn up, dinged. Foam inside was mostly shredded. Some pieces were individually wrapped and they were fine. I'm amazed some small bags of parts didn't fall out in transit through holes in carton.Having said that, everything was there. SAVE ALL THE PACKING MATERIALS UNTIL YOU ASSEMBLE IT! PARTS CAN GET BURRIED IN STYRENE FOAM "DUST." One tab on base of part B was slightly bent but easily straightened.Assembly for the most part was per instructions. With a little tugging, holes lined up; no hammering or drilling needed. In step 1, hole in front of part A for long bolt is missing. Assembled myself for most part. Step 7, attaching hood to flue base, I did have a helper.Instructions caution against operating on wood deck or other combustible surface, and seeing how firebowl sits on ground that should be obvious to anyone...Assembled unit looks like photos. Have not had a fire in it yet.

Looking forward to using
We have not yet put this together, therefore I can not rate the quality of this product. However I am sure once we do, we will be satisfied . Looking forward to putting this to plenty of usage come Autumn on those chilling days.

Screw heads strip easily with power screwdriver.
Stylish and functional. Good heat output. A little difficult to assemble/attach top hood, but manageable.Screw Phillips style heads strip easily with power screw gun.Would be ideal if torque style or square drive pattern bit

Definitely not $300 worth
Holes don't line up and you will have to use a drill and tools to make it work the best you can. Chimney does not catch any smoke. It will just hold smoke in the hood. Mine is slightly bent from the neck that holds the hood. It came that way. Thinking of returning
