Good product, does what it is supposed to do
I'm not going to trawl through a thesaurus to find adjectives that describe the 'improved' sound heard by the use of a record weight. Sonically, I struggle to hear any difference. But what this stabilizer does do well is flatten those slightly warped records that in turn greatly improve stylus tracking. I can at least see the improvement!

I Think THat My Sound Quality Has Improved
I think that my sound quality has improved with my LPs, but it might only be due to my imagination since this is the only way that I have to measure sound quality, I do not think that this 11.2 ounce weight is enough to remove much, if any, warpage from my old records. The quality of the weight is just fine. The thin felt glued to me bottom of the weight is not fancy, but is sufficient. I dug out my old Technics SL1700 semi-automatic, direct drive turntable to start using again. My cartridge head is an original Technics and is around an inch in width. It does not touch the weight before pickup at the end of the record and there is plenty of clearance between the weight and the dustcover. This product should be plenty good for most of us unless you want more weight. My old turntable never missed a beat as far as slowing down the turntable. Unless you just want to spend more money on a weight with a center bubble or a leather pad on the bottom or painted or polished to a high gloss, I would recommend the tall one in silver or black.

You can Polish to a mirror finishes.
I got this Weight becouse it was cheaper than the other one I wanted that was chrome. But this is made out of aluminum. So I thought why not wet sand it and make it look like its chorm then buff and Polish it to a mirror finishes. As you can see why what they post for pics to what I did with mine. It looks awsome on my turntable. I went with 220 grit, 500 grit, 1000 grit, 1200 grit then with 2000. Then I buffed it out and then used a nice polish.

RonXer works for me!
RonXer is an affordable way to sufficiently flatten out records that have a slight warp. On close inspection you'll notice almost all vinyl records are not perfectly flat (including 180 gram vinyl), which can result in sound inaccuracy, and/or added surface noise during playback. My direct-drive turntable is an entry level model, so I decided to first replace my rubber mat for an acrylic platter, which upgrade provided noticeably more detail to the music. Later, I decided to also add a turntable clamp to see if this could make even further improvements -- and it did! A/B-ing the same records (with and without the RonXer), I found there was cleaner sound and more audible deep bass heard with the weight stabilizer holding the record flat against the platter. This RonXer weight looks attractive and has a felt pad at the bottom, so when placed on the spindle, it won't harm the paper label on your record. I understand there are many different types and makes of turntables (some insanely expensive), and differences of opinion on how a record should sound, but from my personal experience using RonXer, and given the reasonable price, I highly recommend trying it!
