To start off, visually this fan is very pretty. The package also looks nice, just as displayed. It slides open very easily, which I like. It also does its job well. However, one thing I would say is a flaw is the fact that the fan is very flimsy. It is lightweight, which is good for traveling, but lightweight means weak and fragile as well. I can imagine this breaking on me if I handle it too roughly. Overall, it is pretty, does its job, is lightweight but it needs to be handled with care for longer lasting. Though to add on about the price, I don't think this fan is worth the price it is at right now. I paid $6 shipping too so that's a total around $15. I feel this fan should have been worth $4-5 at the most, nothing near $9. The quality is so-so. I bought a fan in China for under $5 (30 yuan) and it was more stable compared to this fan. So yeah, take your pick.

I got this for a wedding in the high heat of summer - it was perfect!A couple things people should be aware of: Sometimes the "ribs folds" will stick together. If that's the case for the fan you received, take your time and GENTLY pry them apart with a couple fingernails. Do NOT try to flip the fan open repeatedly to unstick them! The fan IS as big as described once all the folds are unstuck.Also, one of the sides did come off at one point. I emailed the company and they suggested fabric glue, with an offer to send a replacement if the glue was unsuccessful. I'm fine with a quick fix, and I used a multi-purpose glue that included fabric in the list, so the fan is now perfect once again.+++ for customer service!*Edit for clarity*I want to make clear that the merchant DID offer to replace the fan from the very first message exchange - I wanted to try fixing it first.

This fan broke in the first 10 minutes I had it so I was very upset because it's such a great fan. So I returned the item (got my refund) and was then contacted by the seller who offered to send me one complimentary fan for my troubles. They said that sometimes the glue doesn't work correctly. The new fan they sent me is pretty durable and the glue is definitely sticking stronger than before. So it's nice at least that the company is willing to make things right and you don't have to worry if you get a defected item. They made me more than whole, since technically I got the fan for free.
