The instructions provided were much better than what I expected, based on older reviews. TTone finally listened to the complaints and provided a color sheet. Still, there could be more clarity to it.I followed detailed instructions found on youtube, but still, my pedal does not work. I will have to do some troubleshooting to figure out what went wrong.

I've been building stripboard pedals for the past few years and figured I would give this kit a try. It's certainly not for beginners, but it's not too difficult. My kit included a LARGE colored instruction sheet that wasn't much help. I understand the limitations of what can be crammed onto a sheet and included with the kit, but I feel a bill of materials and a point to point wiring guide would be more helpful than what these instructions offer. The board is nicely screen printed and everything (with the exception of one 100k resistor and the 821pf capacitor) were clearly noted. It's not difficult to know where the components go, or how to wire the power and audio jacks, it's just where on the board they connect that needs defined. After checking online for help and everything was soldered together I plugged it in and still needed to correct the output wires. I would say that's a success, since it seems to be the only mistake I made. Naturally I can't A/B this to a real Centaur, but what this pedal kit offers sounds good to me. I think with this revision of the board they've got it right, but the instructions are still lacking.

Terrible instructionsLaid out in black and white copy,Nomenclature for components lacking, especially for the box style capacitors, no cross references and are difficult to find online with some not being available.Used a third party online tutorial which helped quite a bit.BUT the component cross referencing is the Achilles heel.Two knobs fit fine one was bad to start with ( bad threading job/ insufficient for application.

The kit is really fun to build and sounds good. The build challenge is moderate and you need to be careful with your soldering. Take your time and google the website build guide. The paper instructions are ok, but the website was better.The customer service has also been really great. My 1st kit got lost in the mail somehow. I contacted the seller and they responded quickly and helped resolve the issue quickly.
