best socks ever
I have worn these socks daily for about 8 years, wear them in shoes or hiking boots. no foot pain, no blisters no odor. I rarely wear a cotton sock, I immediately regret it when I do. It is rare to need or to wear two pairs of socks hiking. (only subzero) I order a size or two larger, after a couple cycles in the wash they are perfect. they are very unbelievably durable sustaining countless washing's in cold water and hanging to dry. one pair of these $15 socks will out last hundreds of dollars of "Walmart" socks. The prior complaint about "falling apart" is not my experience, these are wool, hot water or dryer will make them very small! Don't let them get washed/dried with other stuff on "regular settings".

Best Hiking/Hunting Socks on the market.
I have owned these socks for 8 years. I have used them on many extended day hiking and hunting trips, (11 days at Philmont Scout Ranch in the New Mexico mountains and 21 days hunting in Alaska for examples). I have read that some think these socks are "to thick". I would probably say that their boots are too small. These are the best trekking/hiking socks I have ever worn. I have been hiking/hunting in every kind of weather for more than 50 years and these are best!

Best Socks to replace all wool
I have been wearing wool socks for many years (50) but most now have become thin. Thorlo is my latest replacement and I find them excellant. The Hicker thx are the best not only for hiking but for most of my farm work. Amazon is the best price so far.
