I have another Acupressure Mat and have been using it for a few weeks before I got this one. I found Acupressure to give me the best relief so far from my neck and shoulder pain. The other mat was around $40, and doesn't seem like the foam inside of it will last too long. Given the relief so far with acupressure, I wanted to try something that seems like it would last longer.First off, this Acuswede brand mat is much higher quality. No foam to break down, and comes with some extra buttons in case any break. My first time on this mat, it seemed much more intense. I almost thought I would not be able to use it. However, I persisted, and much like the other mat after 5-10 minutes the burning is gone, after 20 minutes I am relaxed and usually asleep. For over the past month I have gone to sleep most nights sleeping on this against my bare back. I tend to wake up sometime between 1 to 2 hours later. I take the mat out and fall right back to sleep.I do like that the other mats come with a pillow, it gets into areas of my neck that I can't seem to hit with this one, even putting a towel or pillow under it. I ended up using the 2 mats in combination. The other pillow goes under my neck, this mat goes under my back, and the other mat goes under my legs as I drift off to sleep.There are a lot of buttons packed onto this mat, and they are close together. That makes it hard to flex this mat around say the top of your shoulder and neck. It works very well for flatter areas, though.

I have used acupressure/acupuncture mats from at least five or six different retailers and they were all fine. They worked okay and were of decent quality. Recently I hurt my back again and was searching for anything I could to help me get some relief. I found this mat and wondered why it was three to five times the amount of most others and was hoping it was because it was that much better than the others. I am so glad that I took a chance on this one. It is not only larger, but the look and feel is just so much better. The true test was when I used it and it really is worth twice the cost that it is on here. I could not be more happy with this mat and have been using it every single day since first getting it. It has helped with my lower back pain, my sciatica and has allowed me to sleep better. If you are on the fence about getting this one, please do yourself, and your back, a huge favor and buy this now.

Wanted to get a review of this in ASAP since it’s so new. I was concerned that it might be either too painful or not effective enough. While your results may vary, I found 40 minutes very doable, and the redness of my back indicates increased circulation.I cannot sleep in a bed due to the pain, so I use a zero-g camping chair. I was able to use the pad bare backed in this chair the first time, the second time for 90 minutes. I’ll know soon if it helps like massage or cupping or acupressure. I do like the effect on the head at the same time it’s acting on my entire back.I like that the backing is not softening the effect, since it is not foam or padding, and the points snap onto posts which are riveted onto the neoprene, so there is no glue involved. The length or width are about twice or more of lesser mats, and many more pressure points. The points are made of very high density plastic.

I returned the first one because the pieces broke off and couldnt hold the replacement snap piece in place. The second one was perfect but I found after a couple weeks trying, that it did not provide pain relief I need. I have CIDP and I am now very sensitive to pain, so the after effect wasnt worth the bed of nails feeling. I'm going back to acupuncture. I'm sure it works for some people. You won't know if it works for you until you try and they accept returns so I would buy it and see!

good product!! the one i got says "made in china" but it feels durable,not sure how to hit the lower back though ( may be put a rolled towel before laying on it )it stings when you lay a few minutes you will feel warmth.. I don't know how anyone can sleep with thsi but maybe with practice

This is a more aggressive acumat than I've tried before. I have to wear a tee shirt when lying on it. However, it makes me feel much better, so it's worth getting used to it. I've fallen asleep a few times on the mat and woken up feeling very refreshed.My daughter uses hers daily and it's been a great way for her (as a college athlete) to deal with sore muscles and to destress.

I got just what I needed for pain. Yes it is rough laying on but to get to sleep almost all night...it's a miracle. I lay on it 15 minutes and it's do able. YOU CAN DO IT!! I do Dry Needles and this is similar. Thank God I ordered this.

We were skeptical, especially considering how sharp each of those points are. My husband has been using with clothing, on a bed, but plans to transition to floor.
