Easy to apply, very good coverage. MUST be stirred very well.

Works just as advertised! The only issue I had was stirring it because it likes to magnetize to itself, but that’s unavoidable. Loved it for my DIY project! And it still works well with a top coat of paint on it. Didn’t seem to change the color even though it was dark underneath.

I’ve painted a lot. This isn’t easy to work with at all. Not a beginner project. Extremely thick and gloopy. Maybe with a professional paint mixer you could get rid of the clumps but shaking and stirring doesn’t work. And by the time you’re partway through the can, you need to remix all over again. Maybe from a paint store it would be different. Maybe the 4 cans I bought each at on Amazon warehouse shelves too long and that’s why it was so clumpy (I assume it’s the metal particles that stuck together)? Prep your areas REALLY well. It sprays and splats off a roller. Very little coverage per can (it’s VERY thick) and I needed 5 coats to get any magnetic effect. After the first coat I was committed but I was close to giving up. It was good there weren’t children around while I was painting — my language was more colourful than usual :-(

I bought this product to cover a 6' x 48" chalk board on a wall. I put 3 coats as recommended. I bought the High Standard thinking it had more magnetic strength. I only found out after contacting the manufacturer that the High and Premium is thinner so it is supposed to be smoother. It totally RUINED my chalk board. Besides the fact that the paint did not hold any magnets including the ones they recommend. The only one it barely held was a thin tiny plastic magnetic (the kind you get from AC companies advertise) all the others just fell off. I decided I wasn't going to spend yet another $64 to put another 3 coats and hope it works. I would be better off just buying sheet metal and painting or actually buying a magnetic board! Check the pricing, it winds up being cheaper! I painted over the entire board with chalk board paint. Unfortunately the magnetic paint made the surface of my chalk board like a 60 grit sand paper. Very hard to write on it and there is more chalk on the floor and in the air then on the board. I have no idea what to do now. This is my drywall! I am freaking out what $64 in paint can do! Anyone have suggestions on how I can fix the issue please contact me.

This product paint spread like pudding covered the wall evenly without requiring an additional painted layer. I used two coats for this project When we applied magnets on the wall you could hear the "pop" as they attached to the newly painted surface. The dry erase markers with magnets in the tops are less sensitive and need to be placed gently but the flat magnets can be thrown at the wall and stick. Paint on the floor and on my hands were easy to clean up and wash off afterwards. I had tried the magnetic primer from a local home improvement store a few years back. Technically it worked, but the magnet application was not consistent, there was a very strong odor when applied and it was oil based. It was also more challenging to clean up afterwards.
