Cleans Dirty US Diesel and raises Cetane level to overcome inconsistency at fuel stations
Required if you want your injectors to be clean, fuel mileage optimized and your air pollution system to avoid problems with the "dirty diesel" fuel available in the US (e.g. Europe Diesel is much cleaner fuel). I have used this additive since 2014 and my 3 Diesel Mercedes run great and obtain the maximum mileage I have read anyone obtaining. I use the "white" stuff in the winter when the temperatures lower to 30 degrees and lower to avoid fuel line freeze.

One of the best fuel treatments on the Market
My diesel mechanic recommended this stuff above all others. The diagnostic test on my truck showed Injector #1 to be just one point below needing serious maintenance or replacement. I used Diesel Kleen during every other fill up. A month later Injector #1 had dropped a point and the others were more balanced too. I bought a case so will keep using it until my next service and provide an updated review.

Time will tell if effective. Only additive I could find that had any manufacturers approved or recommendations

Been using this for 7 years
This stuff works. I decided to not use it for a while and by the forth fill up my diesel vehicle started to have hesitations. I dumped a whole bottle of 16oz into the tank and it cleared up. I use 8 oz every fill up as I try to fill up when the tank is half empty and the lubricity of the fuel and cleanliness of the injectors has not failed. I use the gray bottle in the summer and the white bottle in the winter. The fuel in the tank has not jelled up yet. By keeping the lines lubricated and the injectors clean one can get the most mileage expected out of the fuel and vehicle one is driving.

low sulfur diesel has real low fuel lubricity
with the low sulfur diesel , it has little fuel lubricity , so your pump and injectors wont last, eather you pay a little now or a ton to replace later,, we need to go back to good old #2
