I'm a pro photography and I needed a hot shoe flash for my Sony A7Riv. This little flash is not very powerful, but I use it outdoors on full power and keep my Sony in Manual mode. I shot an event in bright sunshine at F9, shutter 1/125 and ISO 100. All I needed was something to counter the shadows on people's faces and it worked fine. It is cheaper than the Sony flashes and I think it works better. If you need a lot of power (more than 76 guide number, you better look elsewhere. But for the money, this thing is great.

It works as advertised. I was lucky got the 26A battery [larger than 26] in the package. Everything fits. The bounce adapter works well and i usually leave it on all the time. I am used to TTL flashes. This one works as well as the Brand ones i have for other cameras. Have not tried the wireless function. The different accessories fit easily. Adjusting flash output is easy. Switching different modes is easy. At lower power setting painting with light [off camera] is easy with long exposure. [Not including photos as it is of family].I tried using the MODELING LIGHT as a video light [that is why i did not get the VX1 model] and it worked well as the intensity can be adjusted. I aimed for just making it light enough to record so got low light effect also. Since the light points ahead I was able to quickly take a flash bounced photo without interrupting the low light video.Mostly take baby & people photos. If i decide to go for a second flash I will probably buy another one of these and link them wirelessly.It has a good solid build. Locks on the camera hotshoe. Flash charger works well. I have not recharged it this year and the battery seems to have lot of power still.Definitely worth buying.

Very high quality and a removable battery and all of the features that I was looking for in a speedlight.

I’m have owned 6 Godox flashes over the years. Only once before have I had the same issue with the flash bulb literally burning the plastic diffuser after only a few bursts. In THAT case I was sent a replacement with apologize. This flash burnt immediately, after only having used it for a month. The flash indicates with a green light & audible beep when the flash is ready for the next burst. And I was careful not to shoot too many bursts, too quickly.But…this flash almost started smoking immediately. I could smell the burning plastic after only a few uses.I contacted seller & they say, it’s fine…the flash should work, but maybe we can send a replacement diffuser…but due to supply chain we don’t know how long that could take, but…basically No…we’re not going to replace this because YOU didn’t let the flash “cool down” enough. Guess I’ll look into other options next time.
