Doesn't work
The wifi extender won't connect to my router even when in the same room. Tried wps and it won't work. Wireless won't work. Ethernet won't work. My Verizon FiOS ssid won't even show up in the extender settings app but It will show up for my phone and computer. Waste of money not easy to set up. There's a reason this is so cheap

Almost 5 stars.
This worked well for extending our range. Our house is older and has lathe and plaster that doesn't allow signals to go through. When we upgraded our dsl line they moved it to the opposite end of the house, meaning no internet to the main living spaces. Not helpful. (Thanks hubby) Anyhow, I ran cable through the attic to a switch, and connect this to the switch. Works great. My one complaint is when it loses power, it loses its settings. Every. Single. Time. The setup isn't too difficult, but it is rather annoying when you have to do it more than once. Otherwise, I've been very happy with this extender.

Buy a Refurbished!
Refurbished is the way to go! These extenders help provide full wireless coverage throughout my house. We have our main router on the first floor, and an extender in the basement and another extender upstairs. The setup is fairly easy, and tech support is very helpful if you call them. You cannot name all your networks the exact same name and travel through the house on the same network. Instead, when I go upstairs, I have to switch to the network that is broadcast by the upstairs extender, and same for when I go into the basement. This can be a bit of a hassle, but a lot of times, my iPad is smart enough to auto switch for me because of the difference in signal strength. I’ve owned these for 6 months and have had no issues.

Two thumbs up
I gave this as a gift to my folks but they say it works great. Their router is on the second floor of their home. They had problems getting a signal on the first floor - especially the further towards the back of the house you go. They say it has greatly improved the reception throughout the first floor of their home.

Keeps disconnecting from source/host signal.
Consistently disconnects from main WiFi and needs to be rebooted. Checked the source signal at that location and it's strong. I put it in that location to boost my cameras. But half the time I look at the cameras they say disconnected from WiFi. I have the same one for backyard, and that one was so reliable through the year. Thats why I chose to buy another for the front yard. Really disappointed. When its connected, great signal.

Didn’t help with our situation
This didn’t help with our weak wi-fi connection but it was probably because we had DSL internet and, as the provider explained to us, we were at the end of a long line. So, the internet was weak, not just the wi-fi. My, brother, however, said it worked well for his situation so I didn’t want to give a really bad review. It might not be the extender that is the problem.

Seamless
Upgraded my old Netgear extender with this one. What a difference! We have ATT fiber and use Apple's TimeMachine as our main router. We get ~250-320 Mbps at the source, however we have serious signal deterioration at the other part of our house. Our old Netgear extender produced <40 Mbps download speed. We get 120-150 Mbps up- and download speeds with this new one. The best part is we don't have to have a separate '...EXT' network SSID. The extender is capable of extending the signal using the main SSID. You can also set it up as an access point in conjunction with your modem or main router if you so desire by using the available ethernet port.Product arrived quickly and looks and works like brand new. Extremely satisfied.
