I wanna buy it for my 14 inch mac book pro. Does this have an apple logo on the back like it’s advertised?

No. The cover is see through which is why you can see the apple logo in these photos. I have the black one, and the logo is still able to be seen through the cover.

Is this case compatible with other laptops that aren’t macbooks? would it work for my 13.5” hp spectre?

Does the case wear out hinges?

I would say the case can remain on the laptop. It's a clear case. When I went on the airplane I previously had a red laptop case and I never had to remove the case. I always put the laptop and the case in a separate bin with all electronics, which is the standard procedure at airports.
