I was able to bring life back to this Christmas tree by cutting everything to size. The lights aren’t super bright but when displayed at night they are just fine for me.

I do public outreach events with my astronomy group and these lights work great! I use 3 of the strands, wrapping them around the legs of the tripod to my telescope(s). This lets the public know where the legs are and prevent a trip hazard. They are bright enough to be easily seen but not so bright as to ruin night vision. I have to keep my purchase link to these on hand as I have someone ask me what kind of lights these are and where did I get them! Not only do these work, as far as a safety feature, but draws attention to my telescopes.

We purchased this set to decorate a costume scythe, so having the multiple strands from one power supply was ideal. It does work, but as others have noted they are not very bright at all. You can see them in interior room light but outside in the sun they are useless. But they come into their own in darker rooms or outside at night. In addition, these EL wires run very quietly. Some have a high pitched whine that is annoying to deal with; these have a very faint whine but it is almost inaudible.

These work as described, and the EL wires are quite bright -- definitely visibly glowing brightly in a well-lighted room. I did not notice a hum or noise with all five wires attached, and definitely could not hear anything when I disconnected three of the five wires and just used two. Also, each wire (actually a thin plastic tube with some kind of wire inside and with a small plastic cap on the end (similar in proportions to an end cap on copper tubing used for plumbing) can be shortened. I simply removed the end cap, cut the wire shorter with ordinary scissors, and replaced the cap, and it worked fine for the four or five hours that I had it turned on. The length of the harness from where it exits the battery compartment to where the five leads separate is longer that it looked in the photo: it's about a foot.

This is garbage! They are so dim I couldn’t even tell they were on unless I was in the dark, even then they are very dim. There is a very uncomfortable high pitch squeal that’s is present while powered on. It’s so unbearable I could only have the device turned on for a few seconds,,

These pink EL wires were exactly what we needed to take my daughter’s ninja Halloween costume to the next level! They worked perfectly right out of the box—bright, flexible, and easy to shape around her outfit. The glow was eye-catching but not overwhelming, and the noise reduction feature meant no distracting buzzing. She loved how futuristic it looked, and it held up great through a night of trick-or-treating. Definitely a cool addition for any DIY costume or party setup

I was stoked when I got the lights. The length is perfect for what I need, they’re bright, and it was easy enough to put together. Unfortunately the moment I connected the lights to the battery pack it emitted an incredibly obnoxious high pitched whine and I have no idea how to make it stop. The video shows me turning the pack on by itself and going through the cycles, I had to set my phone down briefly to plug the lights into the pack and then went through the cycles again to demonstrate that noise. The project I’m working on requires the packs be close to my head and having it so close makes me feel like I have tinnitus. Places online have suggested using hot glue around the transformer but I haven’t gone that far yet as I’m worried I’ll ruin the lights. Still debating on if I will keep them or return them and try a different brand.

Great product very visible

Less than half as bright as other EL wire I have. Not visible except in the dark. But, it does light up. For the price, about what I was expecting. You get what you pay for.

This stuff is SO easy to work with and shape to your likings and you’d be surprised how long the batteries last for how bright they are. Beautifully perfect ice blue just as it said it’d be. Thumbs up my friends 😃
