Lasted about a year. Broken zipper, lining dissolved. BUT great customer service solved the problem.
I've had this for a little over a year, and for a while it was terrific. Lightweight but sturdy, well designed, roomy, useful for light hiking as well as everyday carry. However in recent months the lining has disintegrated and sloughed off, which I could live with, I guess. But now the zipper has totally failed, so the bag is useless. Major bummer. EDIT: The seller contacted me and replaced the bag. Upping my star rating for their excellent customer service and standing by their product. Thanks!

5 years later!!! Extremely impressed.
2019- It's been almost 5 years and this backpack is still awesome. I've tried a few other brands just to get different sizes but this is my default favorite.2015- Only the second review I've ever written, and I've ordered 2-3 items every week for the last 5 years, but I had to do it. This backpack is 1/3 the weight of any I've had before and it is lasting longer than I ever expected. This is not a weekend hiking deal for me. I use this thing every day. It's my gym bag and overnight bag so I carry about 15 lbs all the time. Bathroom supplies, first aid kit, playing cards, dice, sewing kit, meds, manicure kit, cans of supplements, handgun, Snack bars and nuts. A 1 liter water bottle, padlock, carabiners and multitool hang on one side and gym shoes and shower flops hang on the other. And that doesn't include the main compartment. I keep another pair of lifting shoes, jumprope, 3 knee braces, gym clothes, swimsuit and a towel in there. And I'm rough on my bags. 3 months is a good lifetime for most of my bags but this thing still looks new after 6 months. Really impressed. Thanks.

Was going to give it 4 stars (3.5 more like) but
Customer service came to save the day.The backpack comes really tiny and it becomes a full fledged backpack. The backpack is fairly comfortable. Obviously it can't be super comfortable because of how incredibly light weight it is. It has a great amount of room, and a decent amount of pockets. I bought this for my 2.5 week trip to Southeast Asia and used it extensively and it did a great job.Now why was I going to dock it a point? When I got home after the trip and I was unpacking my bag I noticed these white strips that were annoying. I was wondering where they were from and then I realized the inner liner was peeling. Now, I'm pretty sure this isn't important and the bag is just fine without it but I'm also thinking the liner is probably what helps it be water resistant. And not only did it look ugly it meant that area was probably more prone to leaking through moisture. The peeling unfortunately also happened near the top of the bag.But why am I NOT docking it a point? Well, before I was going to post a 4* review (the bag is quite nice otherwise and the liner isn't important unless you're going to be out in the rain a lot) but then I remembered an email the company had sent to me. I seemed to have recalled them saying there was a guarantee on it so I looked up the email and there's a LIFETIME guarantee. So I emailed them my issue and sent them pictures of the peeling lining. They got back to me very promptly, apologized for the issue and offered me a new one. They couldn't give it to me for free but they gave me a coupon to use on Amazon for 99% off, so I just bought myself a new one for under quarter to replace it.Now that's customer service!

Happily surprised - lightweight AND fairly sturdy
I put this lightweight "backpack" through a good test over a few weeks of traveling around Europe. It was fully loaded, and my fear about busting the stitches never happened. Plenty of good & convenient pockets to separate and group your items. Good quality zippers. Shoulder straps work well and the adjustments always seemed to hold where they were set, surprisingly (I thought they might be a weak link, but they did their job).Probably not a good choice for mountain climbing equipment or tools or machinery, but for some clothing, toiletries, light electronic gear, paperwork, etc, this is perfect.I only subjected this to light rain, and it passed that test, but I can't say how it might work in heavier drenching. I also can't comment on the full life expectancy of this handy little daypack, but I know it holds up well for at least a few weeks with plenty of life to spare! The 5 Stars are relative - there are much better backpacks available in general, but in its niche, this little guy is well worth the purchase.

Great bag!
Bought this because the hubs loves to take day trips to state parks. It's perfect for what I need! Lightweight, but has enough outside pockets to be useful. You can attach a few carabiners to the sides as well. This is probably not the bag for a multi-day serious hike with tons of gear, but functions quite well as a water resistant daypack. When I'm not taking it on a flight or to go camping, it stays in the trunk of my car as a emergency go-bag. Otherwise it can be folded into its own pocket and tossed in a drawer.Mine holds:- Hoodie, leggings, long sleeve shirt, scarf, hat, gloves, socks, sunglasses, lady products- Rain poncho, handwarmers, compass, first aid stuff (in a ziplock, not a box)- Pocket knife, firestarter, lighter, flashlight, solar charger, small binoculars, local map- Granola bars, water bottle, hand sanitizer, wipes- and a few other random things I can't even think of right nowAnd there is still room to spare.I wasn't sure if this would have enough capacity, but it was perfect! Fits nicely on my 5'8", 200lb athletically built frame while wearing 2 layers of clothes and a hoodie. The only drawback is that the chest strap should be a couple inches longer. Sometimes it felt a bit constricting after a couple hours of walking. But otherwise, I'd definitely buy it again.

Delaminating rucksuck!
Ordered this day sack a few days before embarking on a 3 week cycle tour in Normandy. Initially, I was really pleased with it because it was the right size for using on a daily basis and when not in use packed down relatively small to fit comfortably in one of my cycle panniers. The sack is very lightweight and great for carrying valuables and food shopping. Unfortunately however, I noticed after only 10 days use, the fabric had begun delaminating i.e. the coating on the inside was peeling off. I am very disappointed because it was just the type of day sack I was looking for and now I'll have to find a replacement.NB can provide photos on request.

Holds Up To Water, May Not Pull Much Weight
I adore that this bag folds up inside itself. It is water wicking and has kept my electronics dry in drizzle with its parachute-like material. That material, however, feels better suited to holding a lot of volume, not weight. I feel very uncertain about loading it up with heavy books, but fine loading it up with textiles.

Very lightweight
Great lightweight rucksack! Lots of pockets. Good up into a wed bag. Lovely colour.

was a bit disappointed by the size
It looks bigger in the picture, was a bit disappointed by the size, which is just normal rucksack size. It is lightweight though and folds up neatly so will be useful to take on holiday as a spare bag, and for keeping in the car for when we need it.
