When it comes to what's best for my furry son
When it comes to what's best for my furry son, I research a lot. Especially when it comes to what he'll be eating everyday. He's eaten lots of expensive foods, such as Orijen, Natural Balance, among others but many of those had tons of added vegetables that (In my opinion) cats shouldn't be eating everyday. What I was looking for in a new cat food was 1) grain/corn/by-product free 2) meat first 3) very little to no vegetable/fruit content 4) no potatoes/sweet potatoes. 5) L-Lysine. Muse nailed all of my wishlist and my sweet kitty loves it!Now, before Muse, Purina was on the same level in my mind as Pedigree. I was really pleasantly surprised when I read the ingredients of this bag at my local PetSmart. I've purchased this same formula 3 times now and couldn't be happier. I am finally done trying to find the perfect cat food. The price for the 9 pound bag of this food was $26.99 when I purchased it on 8/8/16 and saved me $6 from the PetSmart price. I'm reviewing this on 9/6/16 and still have half a bag left with 1/2 cup fed daily for one cat. Its a great value and I feel great knowing I'm feeding my furry son good stuff.

Great for sensitive stomachs
I was spending $60/month to feed my two cats just to find out the manufacturer had changed the ingredients to include chicken by-product and made it the first ingredient. I only re-looked at the ingredients because my cat's poop started smelling extremely foul and I figured they may have changed or added ingredients she couldn't handle (she has an extremely sensitive stomach, hence spending an ungodly amount on her food - which is what made me mad that they'd completely change it up!! Sigh...I digress). After a ton of research, this seemed to have the best ingredients without costing $100/month and thankfully my cats absolutely love it and there is no more foul smell when they use the litter! I was especially drawn to the pumpkin because I've always been told that it helps with sensitive stomachs but hadn't come across a dry food that included it. Glad I tried it. My other cat has never drunk enough water so I love that the dry food (pumpkin one) has such a high moisture level. Helps both of them and they seem to enjoy it much better than the previous foods I've given them. Well done Purina, please don't be like the other manufacturers and change up the ingredients on us!

Get out of the way when you open the box...
I got this stuff mainly for out sensitive to everything tom cat who has more allergies than you can shake a flea collar at. We feed all four our children Purina Beyond Natural Dry food exclusively save for the occasional Cat-Man-Do freeze dried chicken and salmon treats which is like cat candy to them.I could not get this stuff out the shipping box before they were in full assault mode. Somebody was gonna get the goodies in the box! Honestly, both the wife and I were quite surprised by the overwhelming positive reaction this cat food received. All four inside cats love it and the two strays who adopted us a year ago like it as well. Now, I don't know where all of the ingredients come from...we try our best to get North American sourced food products for them and us. As you probably know, Purina puts this stuff in a bag in Clinton, Iowa. They just say it's crafted there. Where everything comes from is a mystery and it should not be that way especially for consumers willing to pay a premium for domestically sourced ingredients. As with the Purina Beyond, the Muse dry food has not adversely impacted them according to our Vet. We had the same experience with the Muse "Sailing with Salmon" variety as well, so I'm copying and pasting the review here for that. Hope this helps.Update: Jan 30 2017: We have now fed over 10, 9# bags to all of our children. No of them has had any issue with the food at all. 4 house cats ( indoors exclusively) and our 2 strays who adopted us, kinda. We can tell no difference in their overall health or vitality; all act the same as with our old cat foods (glutens, non-glutens, grain, no grain). Since EVERYBODY goes to the vet every 6 months or more frequently if needed, they get a good exam and he concurs with us. So, we are going to stay with a gluten free and as little grain as possible since they are not normally in a feline diet. We will gradually move back to the Purina Beyond variety which they were on for a couple of years. They all liked it as well and it is substantially lower cost with so many mouths to feed.In our experience, this premium product has not provided the hoped for relief for our most sensitive cat...he still has dermatological issues that will not be fixed with food regardless of the ingredients or brand. He will have to depend on the steroid injection every quarter for relief. We had great hopes for this food and hopefully it will help some other kitty it just didn't justify it's extra cost in our house.

I like it probably more than my cats
I think, given this is from Purina (a company I don't necessarily think always produces quality products) that this is pretty decent food. I am always looking for grain free and the fact that this is plus it has pumpkin (which adds fiber and helps cats go) I really like this food. The only problem? My cats think it's so so - but? You know cats. They're so precarious and unpredictable. If they could, they would lounge around and eat Meow Mix all day. Well, instead they lounge around and eat Muse now. I started to add Purina Naturals, which is NOT grain free just because I feel like my cats can get a bit constipated on this stuff. I still think this food is overall pretty good. Personally, I'd like to get my cats to just eat wet but every time I try to take away their dry, they go on a hunger strike. I've been using Muse for about 2 years now and usually buy it at PETCO or PETSMART (I can't remember which) but got this online because I was too lazy to go out. I would recommend this if you want your cats to have a high quality, low carb and fairly natural dry food.
